Well, if we look to the press release again we can deduce some things.
From the Booster Pack section...
"There are 18 STAR WARS and 18 TRANSFORMERS figures"
& from the Starter Set section...
"Two of the figures are exclusive to the pack and will not be available in the booster packs"
It looks like there will be 22 figures all together (booster + starter). Since the starter set will cancel itself out from our equation (-2 exclusive figures & and -2 figures that will be in the boosters, like Capt. Antilles) I think it's safe to assume that the side of the booster just shows the booster figures and not the complete series. Just like the Series 3 booster only shows the booster figures and not the starter.
So it looks like our Series 4 count is growing. 18 booster figures + 4 starter figures (22) + 2 Intergalactic Battle Pack figures? (24?) + Clone Pilot w/ Gunship (25?). Hopefully the tally keeps going up.

Will Leia be available with AND without Jabba? SO in the booster and in the Mega two pack?
Maybe you won't NEED to buy the new Jabba to get her, but you can be assured you can get her if you buy the new Jabba?

That would be cool. I'd also like it if the Luke & Vader that come in the starter are the same as the Luke & Vader that come in the IG Battle Pack.

Are we even sure that this is going to be all of the figures? Maybe they have more in development and just didn't display them yet.
I know it's just wishful thinking, but you can only hope can't you.

They said 18 and we've pretty much seen 18.

Ok, this still proves NOTHING, but finally a good shot of the booster side turned up (THANKS to thejawa.com!!!) There are all 18 on the side, but two problems. These are TFs and are they showing a complete set of Series 1 - 18, or what is in the booster packs - 18? Can't wait to find out! do I see those numers on the side of the booster correctly 6 rare and 12 super rare

I agree with the 6. I can't see the other number, but my second grade teacher would tell me you are correct with the 12 as well!

Thought I would revive this thread. Since we've completed our Series 3 we're already anticipating the new series 4 big time. Especially b/c series 3 appears to be such a success on the shelves!
I'm really looking forward to the Darth Vader #16 reissue. Ours is in "retirement" right now b/c of the worry it will break. I really want to play with him again. Very curious as to what the new special power will be though.
Also! Very much looking forward to the tamper proof packaging (as mentioned before often in this thread). The one time we saw Series 3 boosters at Target they were almost all opened, which just plain sucked.
Also really want some Ewoks! Since I've really enjoyed my Jawas I look forward to an Ewok vs Jawa battle.

Easy for you to say. I only got 4 series 3 boosters by going on a 2 hour drive. Back to Topic: I would really love to see a Jawa vs. Tusken vs. Ewok battle.

I know that there are a bunch of people upset about certain figures/characters that they feel are missing from Ep. 6, I could name a few myself. But in thinking about it I feel that one of the places Hasbro dropped the ball was with the...
GAMORIAN GUARDS!
Those huge battle axes just scream out for the Attacktix treatment. They gave us Jabba but Series 4 is seriously lacking in any of his cronies. Perhaps they didn't feel the need for or couldn't come up with a team to put the green pigs on.

I've been giving a lot of thought to that $5 dollar price point...I think it's a great idea. First of all, that price point is very close to the price point for similar items on the market, like CCG packs (approx. $4) and HeroClix 2 pack boosters (also $4).
Also, if all of the information here is accurate, if there are 12 super rares now instead of 15 before, the cost to collect each set will be down quite a bit...in theory, currently you would need to spend about $105 to get enough boosters to collect a whole set (and of course you get dupes, but that is what trading is for), in the 12 super rare/$5 booster world, that number drops to $60, meaning you can collect two sets for a little more than it costs to collect one set now.
