In Joe's link I see a purple large missle. thinking of a StarWars fig wielding one makes me think-meybe the TF missles will be compatible with the StarWars guns and vice versa.

I am not sure if some of you are talking about this due to the almost strange way of wording your posts but its clear to see that boba can be removed from the base- you can also see a string behind the legs.

Jawa.com has a little info: thejawa.com/nuke/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=1819Our next report from Toy Fair involves the Star Wars Transformers. If you noticed the preview pics from last night you saw an Imperial Shuttle and Arc Fighter. The Shuttle transforms into the Emperor and the Arc fighter is a Clone Pilot. Also Series 4 Attacktix won't be released until August and will now feature Slave Leia as a Mega and Booster packs will include 2 figures instead of 3. And for those who also like Transformers, you probably already know they will have Transformers Attacktix but you will also be able to use them with the Star Wars Attacktix. There will only be 18 new figures released though and will include: Endor Han Solo Young Tarkin Endor Luke Skywalker Logray Wicket Generic Ewok Admiral Ackbar and new Boba Fett.

I'm not sure what you mean by "the almost strange way of wording your posts," but I think I see what you mean now. I hadn't noticed the black string between Boba's legs. In fact, I hadn't even noticed that his feet weren't glued to his base until I looked more closely at it. Good eyes! However, the notion that there will now only be two figures per booster instead of three bums me out mightily. Unless they reduce the price on boosters considerably to reflect this, I doubt I'll be that interested in many Attacktix offerings beyond Series 3.

I'm not to thrilled about the move from 3 to 2 figures per pack. Also, there does seem to be some great new Attacktix on the way: boba Fett, IG-88, Moff..etc but it seems like there should be alot more for series 4

Well, if there are only going to be 18 new figures, I count a possible 13 of them in those pictures (assuming every unlabeled figure is Series 4).
The one thing I really notice about these figures is that they look like action figures rather than Attacktix - the sculpts are really good! Especially Fett, IG-88 and Ackbar.
And the 80 point Transformers Mega does look awesome. I imagine one swipe of his arm to look a lot like the cave troll in Fellowship of the Ring - guys flying everywhere. That's a mega that would be fun to play with!
Going from 30 figures to only 18 is a major drop (40%) ... I'm definitely not too excited about that. That means fewer figures per faction which limits gameplay options. And there's got to be a price cut on boosters if they switch to only two figures. Maybe make them $5?

Boosters drop to $4.99. So $2.50 a figure (MSRP) I don't know if $6.99 or $7.99 is the current MSRP, but it looks like the same cost per figure. Now they said only 18 new ones. They said the same thing about TF... but I counted 30! Look and see here. I imagine it is with the 3 figures from the Showdown pack. 2 in the Omega Supreme and 4 in the starter. But where to the rest come from. I HOPE it doesn't stay 2 in a pack.. but maybe they will release COMMONS/TROOPERS in clear (not blind) packaging... So you can buy 3 stormtroopers at a time? I'll add the Star Wars pictures tomorrow (done like the link above) Hopefully we will see more by then!

Yeah, but think of it this way: Boosters can be hard enough to find anyway. The packaging looks like it may be bigger than the 3packs we have now. Stores will not usually overstock their shelves, and at a lower price point (4.99) they will be even harder to keep on the shelves/ find. However, I do like the idea of tamper-proof packaging. I cant say that I havent benefitted from others opening packages, but its just not good advertising when you walk down an aisle at a store and see Attacktix opened and spread all over the shelves. Given enough of that nonsense, stores could pull all future attacktix from their shelves and never sell them again.

Here's what I got for series 4 (do I win a silver Yoda?! jk ) AT-RT STARTER/INTERGALACTIC SHOWDOWN Series 2/3 Luke w/ light saber STARTER/INTERGALACTIC SHOWDOWN Series 1 type vader (imperial) STARTER series 3 old Ben Kenobi STARTER series 3 tuscan ----Imperials Series 3 storm trooper Tarkin (Redemption Rocks) Imperial Officer Green uniform Imperial …..gunner? ----Ewoks Ewok: bend over w/ huge rock (hernia in action) Ewok: w/prod stick and skull helmet Ewok: Wicket on log w/ duck taped stick -----Rebels Endor Luke w/ light saber Leia in slave outfit with tethered torpedo Han Solo w/ Endor trench coat Admiral Ackbar Rebel Endor trooper ----Bounty Hunters IG-88 Tethered Boba Fett w/ flames at feet. Series 2/3 Han Solo (only based on box art, I'd guess not part of the series) (excluding Han Solo 2/3) That's all 18 figures accounted for, also that is all the the Star Wars figures with out labels on. So, unless we have been fed some misinformation, it looks like that is the list for series 4. -Radar

Could it be that Hasbro has decided to do a smaller series so that they can refresh it more often? I mean...maybe series 4 is smaller so that series 5 can come sooner. With the demand on series 2 having to be replenished so much I would imagine it will allow them to be more responsive if a particular set is not as popular or more popular.
That said, I would imagine series 5 to hit before the end of 2006. So 2006 would see Series 3 to 5 while we only had 1 and 2 in 2005. That will be a few more figures across the year with what could have been 30 series 4 figures sorted out into 2 groups to make them even easier to complete.
It doesn't sound bad to me (as long as Series 5 actually does come in 2006 with 12 or more new figures)

Well after seeing what series 4 has to plan offer I'm not too excited. Where are the Stormtroopers, Clones and Imperial Army builders??? No commons:( What about Jabbas minions? IG-88 & Fett look kick ass but the Ewoks:( However, I do kind of like the Transformers (which I'm not into) but it has some potential for some cool battles. Well maybe this will be a transition year to boost more interest in Attacktix and 2007 will have a REAL offering
