I thought GI-Joe attacktix were more speculation on our part rather than something to really look forward to. I am still not buying the "Only 14 on the booster" Look here... i45.photobucket.com/albums/f68/attacktixtf2006/Star%20Wars%20Series%204/S4Booster.jpgThere are two on the bottom row, and a large image, above the image are TWO figures. There are 4 rows of 4 (16) and 2 at the bottom. This still might be every figure in the set (18) but there are definitely 18 figures on the side... and again, they are TF figures, not SW. For Gorilla Grod's sake, somebody at Toy Fair take a clear picture of the side of the booster. I dont know Joe, I think there may be an optical illusion going on with the corner of the bent plastic of the booster, kind of bending the image of the last column of the 4 rows. I dont know if that made any sense... But what Im trying to say is, I think that may be 4 rows of 3, and the furthest right column may be altered visually by the bent plastic thats surrounds it, making it appear to be 4 rows of 4. d**n I see your point. Refraction or something.... I hate science... I want 18 booster figures! Better picture of BobaFett's flying string:

Better picture of BobaFett's flying string: There doesn't seem to be a lot of tension on that string. Do you think that it will be retractable (I'm thinkin' it would have to be) or perhaps this is just a non functioning/broken prototype? And another question for the boards... Do you think that the Luke & Darth in the Series 4 starter set will be the same Luke & Darth in the Showdown set? Will they have different collector numbers/stats/special powers? Is Hasbro going to make my buy 4 Farmboy Luke's'? I really don't kneed 4... 2's enough. He wasn't even really that good with the darn saber in the first flick, I don't know how he got such a powerful strike and large base. O.k. I do know... he's the hero, and the hero figure has to kick butt... you know where I'm coming from though. Does the whole flame thing raise? I don't think so. My guess is that all of the flame is part of his base and where his backpack/jet ends (the grey part) snaps onto the top of the flames (the yellow part).

Here's a little tidbit from the press release that nobody has really been talking about (at least not that I've noticed)... " Each Battle Master comes with a battle figure so that players can stage a battle right out of the box. In Fall 2006, fans can add the TRANSFORMERS Omega Supreme figure with battle throwing action and accompanying Crumplezone battle figure to their battle line-up. Also set to be released this Fall is the new Republic Gunship with flying action and clone pilot. Clone Pilot?I hope they mean this guy... But more than likely it will be a repack of this guy...

I think the first one is a clone marine, but the second one is an ARC pilot.

That's a great idea from Hasbro, resell the Gunship (or all battle masters) with an exclusive figure (like the clone sergeant from the battle case). I think clones are great, I'd buy another gunship for him. -Radar

Also set to be released this Fall is the new Republic Gunship with flying action and clone pilot [/i][/quote] IMO, this will be a nice way to let somewhat new figures be added to old teams while the boosters focus on Episode IV. I just hope they give us a different color on the Republic Gunship. I already have two of those and with the fact that it was already released as a single and as a part of a set, I imagine so do a lot of us. I'd even like it if it just had a color difference. Wasn't there a blue one for the main Star Wars line? I could esily go for two of each of the Megas. I think it makes the game fun to play one against the other and so far I am buying all the Attacktix for both teams when I play.

I think the first one is a clone marine, but the second one is an ARC pilot. I belive the secound is an arc piolet, the first is a clone. Regardless of what they might be called in the Star Wars universe Hasbro has sold them as both a 'Clone Trooper- Republic Gunship Pilot'... www.rebelscum.com/photo.asp?image=/swsaga/sw0249clonepilotcardfr.jpgand a ' Clone Pilot'... www.rebelscum.com/photo.asp?image=/ROTS/rots0534clonepilotcardfr.jpgand it's Hasbro we're dealing here with, not LucasFilm. The fact that the ARC Pilot attacktix figure is the same as the Clone Pilot action figure doesn't give me high hopes that the Clone Trooper / Gunship Pilot will make it's way into the Battle Master pack. This whole adding a figure has me thinking. There was a report from ToyFair about Slave Leia being a Mega. I posted about her not being a big enough figure to warrent her Mega status... but what if she was included in the Jabba pack?

I agree completely that this makes a lot of sense, and could be what they are planning!

I agree completely that this makes a lot of sense, and could be what they are planning! And that might mean one less new booster figure. I hope that’s not the case. At first I didn’t mind Hasbro’s repacking of figures, but by the looks of things it’s about to get out of control. If I get the Intergalactic Battle Pack I’m going to have another AT-RT (which I don’t want) not to mention (which I did above) another Luke. If I want to get the Series 4 starter I’m going to have yet another Luke. If I wan’t this mysterious ‘Clone Pilot’ (which I do) I’m going to have yet another Republic Gunship (which I don’t want). Heck, I’ve been trying to trade off the Gunship I got from the Battle Pack and nobody else seems to want it either. And now there might be a chance that if I want Slave Leia I’m going to have to buy another Jabba (which, you guessed it, I don’t want). Perhaps I can put eye makeup on the second Jabba and call him/her Gardulla ATTACKIX SERIES 4: INTERGALACTIC REPACK

I could NOT agree with you more!!!! Personally I NEVER liked the repack, but certainly understood the how and why Hasbro does it!
I guess that part of this is that they are still figuring things out as they go along. They must of realized that some people probably didn't get the connection between the original single boxed megas and the regular figures and I do like the idea of packaging an additional figure with the Megas.
The problem that we are all going to have is those of us that already bought the single packed and want the 'extra' figure have to come up with some other alternative to get the new figure or rid of the old one.
The issue that I have ALWAYS had with the repack is that over time it does depreciate the value of the figures that I previously purchased. You might be able to eventually trade or move that extra Gunship once they are no longer available or harder to find in the store, but not if Hasbro keeps repacking and releasing it again and again. (Like the AT-RT).
When Series 1 first came out Bogas were much easier to find than the AT-RT because EVERYONE seemed to like the AT-RT better. Now try to find or get a Boga compared to the repacked and re-released AT-RT.
I would much prefer that they release a figure once and done.

I don't mind the ocassional repack. The Series 2 red deco clone troopers / blue & orange starter clones were pretty cool. And I like that with Series 4 I'm getting a Series 1 Darth Vader who's now a 'Leader' and on the 'Empire' team. But the trend can be taken too far.

Ok, this still proves NOTHING, but finally a good shot of the booster side turned up (THANKS to thejawa.com!!!) There are all 18 on the side, but two problems. These are TFs and are they showing a complete set of Series 1 - 18, or what is in the booster packs - 18? Can't wait to find out!
