Hey! This may seem weird:
I just purchased a series 2 booster and got Vader2, only he was springless, like others I have read of around here. I called Hasbro about this, and they said they would send me a shipping label so that I could back JUST Vader2 and they would replace him with a duplicate. Anybody else get a 1:1 replacement deal yet?

Now THIS is news! We've been bemoaning the blind replacement policy around these parts since its dubious inception. I've sent off 4 or 5 boosters worth of damaged/error figures to Hasbro in exchange for new boosters. Some I've kept because I didn't want to take the chance of not getting a decent replacement super rare.
I don't know if this will save them any money - maybe breakeven - but it will surely enhance customer satisfaction!

Here's some more news, don't know if anyone's run into this yet: I went to use my $3 coupon today at Wal-Mart of all place and it was DECLINED! The register printed out this little slip that said "item does not match coupon"! Guess who I'll be emailing tonight...

Hi guys, me again! Well, here's more news on the replacement front. I just got my replacement for the much afore mentioned Vader2 that I sent back to Hasbro. I received a booster box in a bubble-lined envelope. Now, I wasn't very upset at all seeing as how I've already pulled another Vader2 since then (albeit the paint job didn't look quite as scary) that actually works. As a matter of fact, I was hoping for that R2 unit that has been evading me thus far. However, the package appeared to have been tampered with, and sure enough, there was a brand new Vader2 in it (along with a scout trooper and a clone commander). So, I not only received a figure-for-figure replacement of my super-rare, but a common and rare figure as well. I guess that either Hasbro had finally got enough complaints from the Imperial Senate, or maybe the Force was truly with me.

Awesome! Anyone else who has gotten a true replacement, please post here!
I hope this is the new direction for Hasbro!

Is there anything different you have to do to get a replacement of the exact same figure? Because my chrome yellow Clone Commander has a trigger problem, and my brother has a chrome Dooku with a weak spring.

All I did was call Hasbro's customer service line and tell them my problem. The lady I spoke with was very nice and told me they would send me a postage-paid shipping label and for me to send them my defective figure (and just the single figure, not the defective one and any two others) and they would send me a working exact duplicate. So I purchased a padded envelope from the Post Office and they even taped the shipping label in place for me. Then, about eight weeks later, I received the afore-mentioned complete tampered with booster pack. I wish I had written down the ladies name and remembered to get her extension number so I could get to her again for help again. See, now I've got a General Grievous striker with a very weak spring. I mean, he really needs a bit of a stronger spring than normal because of the added potential for mayhem he has with that extra saber. At least I have a Maul to fall back on for rank clearing. I'm going to try to send back Grievous for exact replacement next week. I'll let everyone know how that turns out. Later!

How much will it cost in the end, after shipping and whatnot? Also can more than one figure be shipped at a time? Do they send missiles with them, and can I get chrome for chrome?

Hasbro will send you a postage paid shipping label - no postage will be necessary. You can ship more than one figure at a time and missiles are included w/them. As for the chrome-for-a-chrome you would specifically have to call hasbro in that instance.
