I thought I heard them say Megatron was looking to use the all spark to use human technology to control the universe. I could be wrong, it was a late movie. Maybe I was dreaming. I guess we have to go see it again then ;D

I guess we have to go see it again then ;D Sam said that, but he learned of that possible plan from Optimus speculating that if the Decepticons gained possession of the Allspark, they would use it to conquer Earth (then, presumably, the universe). I don't believe Megatron originally had such a plan, he just wanted the Allspark at any cost. What it would be used for, on Earth or any other place, was yet to be seen.

In the original Marvel Comic, Megaton only wanted Earth for 2 reasons:
1) The Autobots were there, and he wanted to destroy them.
2) He wanted to make the planet go supernova (A big plasma ball), and convert the energy into Energon, to be beamed across space to Cybertron (Using Power Station Alpha).
EDIT: So that the Decepticons would have more energon than the Autobots on Cybertron, for those who couldn't understand the above.

Yes, that's the plot for the comic and the 80's cartoon, basically, but the movie really has nothing to do with anything that came before it (as far as continuity goes).

I would think that he'd have been built with non-volatile flash memory rather than mechanical HDDs. ;D

I finally saw the movie last night! It was great! The only minor complaints I have are there were too many humans (which I've read other people complain about), and I do not thing Optimus Prime should have had those "lips". When in battle, they were covered and I personally think they should have stayed covered the entire movie.
Anyway, I'm hoping to see it again before it is out of the theaters.

That would've made him more "Gee-One", but I didn't mind it. Optimus Primal had the same thing going on in BW, and OP in Cybertron did also (can't really remember, but probably Armada/Energon too). He did look very cool with it on, but his mouth didn't bother me.

Why are all the robots created by the Allspark evil?
My opinion is that: Teh AllSpark had been previously set to 'Decepticon' before being lost in space...

Why are all the robots created by the Allspark evil? Defender of New Paradron had a great theory on this: Okay, I think I solved some of the questions that the movie has given us. I saw it one more time last night (that makes 4 for me! ). First, towards the end of the movie, Barricade seems to disapper. I believe when Blackout lands in the city for the first time, when Ironhide is charging at him, he also defeats Barricade. It's a really quick scene, but as he's running at Blackout, he picks up and car and chucks it down the street, and while it's hurtling through the air, it transforms. Must be Barricade, since Ironhide has no reason to throw any of the Autobots. Anyway, whenever the car hits the ground, it seems to shatter. No more Barricade. Second, for some strange reason, we've all noticed that the creatures that the Allspark spawns are evil. I think I know why. I had a couple of "crap" theories before, but after seeing the movie again, I believe this is it. The Sector 7 guys were talking about how all modern human technology was reverse engineered from the research they performed on Megatron. So, in a sense, all human technology since then is derived from a source of evil, making it inherently evil also, once it is brought to life. Pretty deep, huh? And on a side note, I thought I read somewhere, that even though Frank Welker was not reclaiming his role of Megatron, he would still have some part in the film. MM, Himura297, and I looked through all of the cast credits very carefully, and didn't see his name. Unless he was the "coffee getter" for Hugo Weaving. A good actor, but not a very impressive Megatron.
