One other thing that kinda annoyed me was how easy (I am not going to say the name of the Decepticon) was destroyed.
City scene, one marine sliding on his back. That was weak to me. You had Frenzy (who I totally loved!) taking the lions share to the abuse and not dropping. Then you get this 3 story tall robot that gets hit 3 times and drops like a bad habit. Weak.
And yes, some scenes dragged out way too long. Like when they were looking for his glasses in his room.
Overall, I took myself, wifey, little girl, little boy, 5 nieces and nephews with me and we all walked away with a smile on our faces.
BTW, Superfly, if you pay attention to the end when you hear O.P. talking. You can hear him sending out a signal to other Autobots that might still be alive to come to Earth. That is why there was only 5 Autobots in this movie. That is all that there were to come and help.

That was the best movie ever. I am just in awe right now and i want to see it again, then want to see the sequel tomorrow. On the way home I found myself wishing my car (Chevy Aveo Hatchback) would transform. I'm hooked. Michael Bay, all debts have been paid in full. I can no longer hold you responsible for the movie Pearl Harbor. BTW, how many Hasbro products did we find in the film? I can remember 3. My Little Pony, Nerf basketball set, Furby advertisement. I think I'm forgetting one.

I thought the movie was amazing, and seeing twice i was able to see things i missed (yes thats right i said it, i saw it not once but TWICE). Overall it was an amazing movie...the CGI was well put together and everything. Kudos to Michael Bay on the making of this movie...although i do have to agree with Midnight Majick that there were a few scenes with too many humans...but we can deal with that cant we? I highly recommend any TF fan go see it!

The only thing better than seeing it twice, was seeing it 3 times! ;D Seeing the movie last night again with Himura297 was my 3rd time, and it was still as wonderful. I've been busy the past few days, so I was unable to post my initial reactions to the movie, but now that I've slowed down, and let it all sink in, I'm glad I was a optimistic as I was about the whole thing. To many "Bay-haters" giving the movie a bad rep before it was even released. Now I'd like to here what they have to say! ;D The first time, we went to the 7/2/07 8:00pm showing of the movie. It was Himura297, Midnight Majick, ArduisCane, a non-forum friend, and myself. We got there 2 hours before the movie, to ensure that we could get the top row of the stadium style theater. There were only 2 people in line before us, so getting there early was a wise choice. Plus, it gave us time to show off, because, did I mention, that ArduisCane and I were in full Transformers cosplay mode?!?! ;D For more on our costumes, go here to find my Transformers Cosplay thread: attacktix.proboards22.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=transu&thread=1183742869&page=1The movie was amazing and well worth the wait. I only had one complaint: - Inconsistency already. The tank is referred to as "Brawl" everywhere except for the movie. My individual robot reviews: --------------------------------------------------------------- Optimus Prime: One word- WOW!Jazz: A modern take on what he has always been -the cool guy!, As for his demise, someone had to go, and I can only hope that the fragment of the Allspark that Optimus has will be able to revive him later, which could also be used in the same way for the fallen Decepticons. Bumblebee: An amazing character, and very well developed throughout the film. Especially when you consider his handicap. Everything that he did made it very easy to become attached to him. Ratchet: I would have liked to see more of him, but the few things he did were great. "The boys pheramones suggest that he wants to mate with the female" Ironhide: A funny guy as well, but not enough action for him either. Maybe next time. Starscream: I loved how he ripped those other F-22s apart! Maybe the next movie will show us some examples of what Megatron meant by "You've failed me again", and I'd definitely like to see his deceitful side come to light. Blackout: The first transformation sequence gave me chills! That first scene definitely established him as a force to be reckoned with. Scorponok: I'm glad he didn't talk, it made him seem like that much more of a monster! Barricade: "Are you eBay user name LadiesMan217?!" A great character, and the perfect rival for Bumblebee. Frenzy: He did seem almost indestructible! He seemed to be the comic relief for the Decepticon forces. Bonecrusher: Looked great, but he just couldn't stand up to Prime! "Devastator"(Brawl): Another small role, but he served his purpose as the huge scary tank dude rolling down the street. The name inconsistency was my only problem with him. ------------------------------------------------------------- I'll probably go see it at least 2 more times while it's still in theaters. I am one happy TF fan! ;D ;D ;D

Okay, I think I solved some of the questions that the movie has given us. I saw it one more time last night (that makes 4 for me! ). First, towards the end of the movie, Barricade seems to disapper. I believe when Blackout lands in the city for the first time, when Ironhide is charging at him, he also defeats Barricade. It's a really quick scene, but as he's running at Blackout, he picks up and car and chucks it down the street, and while it's hurtling through the air, it transforms. Must be Barricade, since Ironhide has no reason to throw any of the Autobots. Anyway, whenever the car hits the ground, it seems to shatter. No more Barricade. Second, for some strange reason, we've all noticed that the creatures that the Allspark spawns are evil. I think I know why. I had a couple of "crap" theories before, but after seeing the movie again, I believe this is it. The Sector 7 guys were talking about how all modern human technology was reverse engineered from the research they performed on Megatron. So, in a sense, all human technology since then is derived from a source of evil, making it inherently evil also, once it is brought to life. Pretty deep, huh? And on a side note, I thought I read somewhere, that even though Frank Welker was not reclaiming his role of Megatron, he would still have some part in the film. MM, Himura297, and I looked through all of the cast credits very carefully, and didn't see his name. Unless he was the "coffee getter" for Hugo Weaving. A good actor, but not a very impressive Megatron.

#3 Yes I went to see it for the third time last night. Now I think I know every line except for whatever all Frenzy is saying. I must say though in this area there is not much of a buzz for it. Each time we go to see it there are less people and even opening night Monday was not sold out. Just remember it is a long movie so no large drinks or early start to work the next day.

Finally saw it Friday night...at a drive-in fittingly enough.
Loved it...loved every bit of it, best movie of the summer. The movie had that sort of alternate realism to it...the whole...if an alien robot landed on earth and was walking around downtown...THIS is what it would look like.
Loved it. Go see it. Then go see it again.

Like I said earlier... Man, I liked it! There are a few things I didn't like, though.
The 'looking for the glasses in Sam's room' sequence. That went on far too long. So did the 'Bumblebee tries to get Sam and whats-her-name together' bit.
The Decepticon death scene that Greyelephant mentioned. That just hurt. I was all set for that one character to be a raging example of bad-assery. I wonder why they even bothered with him, really.
Devestator/Brawl. I liked the name Brawl for him. Oh well
I think that's about it, really. And that's after 7 days of me thinking of nothing except for this movie. That, and the fact that Frenzy makes me think about Hammy the squirrel from 'Over the Hedge'.

The character you are referring to as going down too easy was the one character that probably took the most abuse... Some other characters even commented how that "t**k just wouldnt go down".

He took a lot during the opening sequences. But, most of that was from gun fire and such. Nothing that I would expect to take down a giant robot. But with that said, consider that he DID take all of that abuse in the first sequence and then all of a sudden he falls over from a few blasts. Nah, I just didn't like it.
And also I don't believe he took any abuse from other Transformers.
Prime driving that energy sword into the neck and ripping the head off of that one guy was just plain incredible. I loved that part.
I loved Frenzy! He was great.

Dang it, now I have to wonder who this "wuss" is. I can rule out Megatron since, from what I've heard, he doesn't show up until later in the film. It also isn't Frenzy since someone compared the amount of "punishment" said "easy kill" got to him. I also doubt it is Bonecrusher since I haven't seen any footage of him in the big city scene in commercials and whatnot. Finally, I can rule out Barricade since he apparently got killed in such an odd way that some people think he's still alive.
That leave me with: Scorponok Blackout Brawl/Devestator Starscream
If someone would PM me who it is that dies quick, please do so. If it turns out to be Blackout or the earlier ruled out Bonecrusher, I'm gonna be peeved.

Man DoNP....you're friggin brilliant (although we knew this..). That is an EXCEPTIONAL reason for the cube to make only badguys. FINALLY a good reason.
+1 Karma every time I can.

Oh, I thought we were talking bout Bonecrusher as the dude who fell too quick. Still, though, even if you are a bad, bad mofo, I guess you don't never raise a hand to Prime.

A good actor, but not a very impressive Megatron. I wouldnt really be surprised if the person that did megatrons voice wouldnt be involved in a second movie.... Megatron was defeated, shouldnt we be seeing a galvatron rising from that ocean? In the 80's cartoon movie there was a different person doing galvatron's voice.... And I would personally love it if Leonard Nimoy would do it again. Really like that theory of why the all spark always makes nasties... Good solid thinking there. Oh, I thought we were talking bout Bonecrusher as the dude who fell too quick. Still, though, even if you are a bad, bad mofo, I guess you don't never raise a hand to Prime. No man.... You still are on the wrong character.... I know my code is hard to crack, but I think you can get it... "that t**k just wont go down" You are right though.... Raising a hand to prime, bad idea.
