Oh, duh! Yeah, Mr.T--K should have been the toughest freakin' monster this side of Megatron. He can take quite a pounding in the PS2 game, though.

I saw it twice ;D and it was the best movie I have ever seen. I loved every character, especially Megatron. His first line was, "I am Megatron!!!". Anyways, awesome movie. Frenzy was a freakin' beast man. He rocked out loud. BTW, I found a website that has every Transformer (including from the movie) in little icons like my avatar if you want some. $50 bucks for each one. (Just kidding) nickkelsch.com/transformers/archive.aspx?series=TransformersJust find where it says "The Movie" under Decepticon and Autobot. I still have questions though. 1. How come Wreckage and Swindle weren't in it? 2. How come Scorponok never transformed? 3. What the point of making protoform figures? 4. And in the Decepticons icon thing I put above, why does it have Thundercracker?

And in the Decepticons icon thing I put above, why does it have Thundercracker? 1. Wreckage is a movie-style toy not featured in the movie. Swindle is one of the many drones featured in the home console games, also not in the movie. 2. I think in the prequel book, they mentioned that Scorponok prefers his beast mode. The robot mode on the toy was probably just made to make the toy more interesting. 3. Money. Though I wouldn't mind having Protoform versions of Jazz, Ironhide, and Ratchet also... 4. For the toy-line, there will be a repaint of the Starscream figure to make it look like Thundercracker.

Thanks to Annointed1, I was able to catch this movie a second time last night. I'm having a hard time remembering any other movie I've seen twice in the theater... maybe when the special editions of the original trilogy came out?
Anyway, I don't see what all the fuss is about about the "t--k" getting taken down so easily. He got lit up by the F-22s and then the army guy hit him from underneath, which they set up by saying, "Remember, they're weaker under the armor." If you want to make a case for someone going down too quickly, how about Barricade? I didn't even see him get shredded the first time around, it happened so quickly.
On the first viewing I was so awed by the movie that I had absolutely no complaints. The second time around I did feel like there were too many humans and not enough robots. They're certainly necessary to move the story along, but once you know the story then you're really not interested in them! As far as the humans go, I still think Shia did an outstanding job. The rest of the cast was just okay. But every scene with a transformer in it was incredible, and I'll probably never get tired of seeing those parts of the movie.
On the way home from the theater, we were pondering if it would really be a good idea to make a sequel. The bar is set so high now, I just don't see how they could possibly roll out a second story that would be as compelling and entertaining.

I'll probably be going for #5 on Friday, and I just had one more crazy theory occur to me... The Allspark crashing to Earth actually caused the extinction of the dinosaurs! ;D

I was The Biggest Transformer Fan in the 80's I had a Crap Load of them, When to see the First Movie in the theater and Got A tear in my eye when Prime Died. Huge FAN! and with that said... The new movie WAS AWSOME! I don't get out to the movies very often (I got three kids) but when I do I get totally swept Up in it and this was no Exception! As someone else posted That First Part Gave Me Chills. I like most of you had a few nit-picks about the movie, but overall It was Very, very good.
Before I saw it I was A little Pissed about the hole all-spark-Cube thing. I had heard the name of it in a Clip and was LIke " that sounds really Stupid!" But I like it in the end. In the 80' Cartoon they had an episode when The Autobots had to go to this spot, deep inside of Cybertron to Bring Life to the Airo-bots (The autobot Jets)
Another Point about the 80's Toon: The Deceptecon Base Was at the bottom of the ocean. A perfect Starting point for TR 2!
I must see it again.
P.S. the decept. the was taken out buy one Guy. Didn't the guy say something about a Shield Generator and it being under the Decept.? and weren't the jet firing on him at the same time? Anyway, when human weapons did and did not work against the TR's was all for the sake of the"plot" not any realistic Scientific/Scifi Ideas.

One thing I thought was Strange. Ratchet Said" I couldn't save him" and Prime was Like "Oh Jazz" and Then he was like "Oh will! We'll get a new one" and moved on to talk about the humans or something?! I thought he was going throw jazz over his shoulder like an old sock with a hole in it or something.

I thought that scene was bit hurried also. I would've liked to see the Autobots grieve a bit for their fallen friend.

I always liked Jazz in the cartoons and was a little disappointed with how weak he appeared in the movie.
Spoiler below.....
Him getting ripped in half by Megatron was just wicked. But, Jazz appeared so small compared to Megatron. Just seems a little wierd....

Jazz was supposed to be the smallest Transformer out there with the most courage, something like Wolverine, except instead of going after Sentinels he went after Megatron, which wasn't the best idea.
I was also kind of dissapointed in Bonecrusher, I thought he was going to be one of the toughest Decepticons to deal with but it turns out he was kind of weak, and it seemed that Optimus didn't like is head...
I wonder how all the Decepticons will be revived for the sequel? Unicron perhaps?

I wonder how all the Decepticons will be revived for the sequel? Unicron perhaps? These Decepticons were pretty intimidating looking, but in the end, they were losers. I'd say the next movie will have an all new bad-guy- roster, with the exception of maybe Megatron, hopefully Barricade, and definitely Starcream. I have a feeling he was taking off from Earth to get reinforcements. And speaking of rosters, I've been wondering about the Autobots for TF:2, as far as the movie and toyline go. If they keep the same forms, which would make sense in the movie, we'll just see a re-release of this movie's toys, which would be crappy for collectors. But, if they change forms, which would be weird in the movie, there would be a whole new batch of toys, which would be great for collectors. Darned if you do, darned if you don't... Any thoughts?

If the roster remains the same their forms will definately change, but there probably will be new forms. I hear the Dinobots, Soundwave and Shockwave may be in the sequel. Also, instead of his Cybertronian form, maybe Megatron will somehow be revived and get a human form. And finally, Barricade is going to be in the movie, he did go AWOL at the end.

From what I noticed in the film, Barricade is dead and gone. DoNP mentioned this as well a page or two back. Ironhide chucks some car, it transforms, hits Blackout, and then falls apart. I'd assume that that was Barricade. Anyways, just went to see it. Not a bad film, nice action fluff. Not my favorite movie but certainly worth going to see. My one major issue was that the action was so freaking hectic that you couldn't really tell what was going on. I mean, one second Bonecrusher is slicing things going down the highway, the next he's being taken down by Optimus, and then about five seconds later the fight is over. Very hectic film. Minor issues are far too much human screen time, stupid music choices (really, did we need the buttrock during the fight scenes?), and Brawl being called Brawl everywhere but the movie where he's called Devastator. Oh, and the stupid scene where my favorite Decepticon gets taken out in three seconds by a guy on a motorcycle and some airplanes. Stupid, stupid, stupid! But I'm biased since that character was freaking awesome .

I hadn't thought about that. New modes for TF2 so there'd be new toys. Now that you mention it, I'll be surprised if they aren't different. Or repaints, anyway. I think Ratchet would look good in white and red. But... I dunno. It'd be a shame for Op and Bumblebee to get redesigned for no reason.
