Hee...I'm really enjoying these matches and their descriptions - nicely done! Glad you like the matches and write-ups! Thanks! It was the turning point of the game unfortunately because Sabertooth was able to decimate all 4 figures with one swipe (Antilles came up white, but there were no DDs gone before the turn). Why would a Trooper have had to have been knocked down before the turn had started? Because the DD and Antilles were knocked down in the same attack, and because DD was black and Antilles was white, the defender should have had the option of resolving the special powers such that the DD was considered defeated first with Antilles' special power resolving last to bring it right back. Or were you playing that the attacker resolves special power order? I guess I am not sure what the official ruling is on how to play, but I thought a figure had to be defeated before the attack in order to bring him/her back from the defeated pile. I began playing this way after Bot Con '06 when you knocked over S4 Chewie and S4 Starter Han on the last attack and I thought I could bring Han back (since Chewie can return a specialist). Not that it would have mattered because Han was still outnumbered and I would have lost anyway - but I always remembered this and that's how I've played since. ROFL. TNT is Dy-No-Mite! That's classic. I think if we played this one out it may have ended differently. I generally wait with KAM back for a 4th-5th round appearance. So, here's the next TNT's Tournament Team of Terror and Treachary (aka Ruth's Rebel Rabble Rousers of Reincarnation and Repeated Rounds Relayed): 1x Leia "I'ma gonna Lay Ya" Organa S2 (20 pointer) 1x Luke "The Freebie" as ST 2x Rebel "Rouser" Trooper 2x Grievous' "Do ya want my" BodyGuard S2 2x Luke "The Puke" S3 with sword 1x Tourney Luke "The Duke of Pukes" Skywalker, S3 Swordsman sculpt 1x Destro-yer "Cuz She's Easy" Droid (40) Backup: Luke "The Puke" Skywalker S3 Swordsman Cool - I'll roll this team out against the Deceptiteeth

Cool, let me know how it turns out! And in the Yodabreaker V. ConaChris debate ;D here's the rules that YB voted on earlier and is going into the 'COMPENDIUM ATTACKTIXUS'
Based upon this, the defender who was killed determines the order of SP activation AFTER all Recover, Rescue, Vengeance and Sacrifice figures have been resolved.
In this instance, the "RESCUE" that Chewbacca is allowed SHOULD have brought back the Han Solo as "Knocked Down is equivalent to defeated" and Han Solo was technically in the realm of the defeated upon his unfortunate and untimely demise. Perhaps you should have cried foul a little louder! ;D
BUT, in his defense, the Tourney Rules he so nicely made up a long while back (and I have used) says this:

Yeah, I figured that was the reason you were doing that. According to the tournament rules at the time, the attacker got to resolve all the special powers (which is still the case as of right now: "If more than one figure is knocked over by the same attack, the attacker chooses the order in which the special powers occur."). However, when I thought about this question for the rules committee, I had come to realize that Attacktix is too strong in offense right now, so having the defender resolve the order of special powers was an appropriate way to bring balance back to the Force, as the case may be. Technically speaking, because Chewie's Rally only operates on figures in the defeated area, not all those that have been defeated (see the CD-ROMs for this ruling), it was still the correct order. Had we been playing under the rules that the Committee has since drafted, I would have just used the first attack to knock down Chewie and the second to knock down Han (albeit probably with a small missile launcher to the chest)

Here are the results for the 4th Title Defense for the Deceptiteeth: Champion: "Deceptiteeth"Battle Ravage (TF1/6) x4 Decepticlone (TF1/3) x1 Decepticlone (P1/1) x2 Grand Moff Tarkin (SW4/16) x1 Megatron (TF1/17) x1 Sabertooth (M1/22) x2 Backups: Imperial Officer (SW4/8) x1 - in case S1 Anakin comes up black Megatron (TF1/16) x1 Megatron (TF2/20) x1 VS.Challenger: "Ruth's Rebel Rabble Rousers of Reincarnation and Repeated Rounds Relayed"Destroyer Droid (SW2/19) x1 Grievous Bodyguard (SW2/6) x2 Luke as Stormtrooper (SW3/28) x1 Luke Skywalker (T/7) x1 Luke Skywalker (SW3/21) x2 Princess Leia (SW3/14) x1 Rebel Trooper (SW3/4) x2 Backups: Imperial Officer (SW3/9) x1 - in case S1 Anakin comes up black Luke Skywalker (SW2/29) x1 Luke Skywalker (SW3/31) x1 Luke Skywalker (SW4/13) x1 I had to change the team up slightly for the Challengers from Superfly's suggestion because I didn't have 3 S3 Lukes. "Ruth's Rebel Rabble Rousers of Reincarnation and Repeated Rounds Relayed" (here after referred to as "Rx8" for short) went first. Leia got a Battle Ravage on the first turn - her gun is the best one there is - I often use her (or Biker Scouts who have the same one) over larger missile launchers). On Rx8's second turn, they used three shots (2 from the DD and one from Luke as ST) to attack the grouping of 2 Saberteeh and 2 Battle Ravages, but they couldn't get any knockdowns or even break the figures apart. So Leia targeted another group (one group had Tarkin at the front with figures behind and the other had Megatron Vehicle - it's easier to nail Tarkin) and she knocked him off his base such that he was leaning against a Decepticlone for a kill. However, Tarkin was white so off went Leia as well. I figured it was worth the risk because next turn the Lukes would be ready to cause havoc as they had swarmed the enemy. Unfortunately for Rx8, two Lukes went down on the next turn and they were both black. I could just hear Superfly in my head saying "man that's salty" The remaining Luke caused some damage but their launchers kept missing. I had the GBGs back to guard the DD and Rebel Troopers. The Saberteeth and BRs kept coming up white, which was a big problem for the Challengers. One turn saw the DD take out a Sabertooth twice (at short range) and both times he was white. The Saberteeh each had an attack with multiple kills and eventually the last S3 Luke went down without being white. In the end it was G1 Megatron, 2 Decepticlones, a BR, and a Sabertooth against Luke as ST and a Rebel Trooper. Luke as ST got knocked over and was white. I debated for a bit as to if I should bring in a striking Luke or the force blast Luke. The Champs had figures spread out across the board, which would make it easy for his force blast to hit, and if he and the Rebel Trooper could get scores in the next turn on the BR and Sabertooth who were close by, it could be 3 on 2 and they'd be far away from the launchers. Striker Luke would have been terribly exposed (too close) after a kill as there were 2 figures close (including G1 Megatron) and if Megatron got hit with a multiple kill and could stand back up, Luke would be toast (if G1 Megatron did go down, then the Decepticlone would have had a good chance to knock Luke over). I chose the force blast Luke and he got the Battle Ravage (alas it was white) and the Rebel Trooper aimed for Sabertooth's hand and he spun around like a top but stood up (I checked and he would have been white anyway). Sabertooth clawed down the Rebel Trooper and then G1 Megatron hit force blast Luke with a nice shot right in the pecs from about 18 inches away or so to end the game. This was a game in which the outcome of the specials really played a vital role in the outcome of the contest. The Champs had 6 specials (4.23 were expected) and used all 6. The Challengers had 5 (5.31 were expected) but could only use 3 (force blast Luke and the DD went down and couldn't be brought back due to no supporting figure). One of the Battle Ravages was the MVP for scoring three kills and being white when defeated. Up Next for the Champs: Hopefully my Wookiee team of 5 S1 Chewbaccas - if the guy ever bothers to send the figures to me. I only won that eBay auction like 2 weeks ago... ugh. If I don't get the Chewies then I might put together a weird team for fun (like Jawas or something) and see if the Champs play down to the competition

You're so getting shredded at lunch ;D I deserve it! I had the 5th title defense for Deceptiteeth last night, and wrote it all up and then hit something accidentally on my keyboard and cleared it. I don't feel like retyping it all, but a team of 3 Jawas, 2 Jawa Warlords, S2 OBK, 5 Tusken Raiders, and 1 Tusken Warlord got throttled by the Champs. Pretty much what you'd expect, although I got hopeful for an upset when two Tusken Raiders got killed on one attack and both were white, but the regenerating power of the Champions is hard to overcome. G1 Megatron was 5 for 5 in shooting for 6 kills and was the MVP. He has yet to be knocked over even during Deceptiteeth's title run. The Champs had 5 specials (expected 4.46) and used all 5 while the Challengers had 9 (expected 6.23) and was able to use 7. I'm leaving for Green Bay for a week on Saturday morning to catch a couple Packers games with my wife, so the Deceptiteeth get to rest for a while before their next defense as we'll be packing and getting ready to leave our daughter in the care of my in-laws the next few nights.

Woot! Deceptiteeth keep rolling over the challengers! That makes, what, six squads they've defeated? I never expected the squad to do so well.
Deceptiteeth Forever![/BWRavageVoice]

Deceptiteeth Forever![/BWRavageVoice] Yes that's 6 squads in a row. The won the title for win #1 and then have 5 succesful defenses. The first champion, "Team Recover" had 6 defenses, so let's see if the Deceptiteeth can tie or exceed that. Superfly and I are getting together the day before Thanksgiving to do his idea of the "2 out of 3" concept for these title defenses - he wants to give his "Rx8" team another shot.

S2 Striker Grievous x2 Shooter Spitting Venom x2 Grand Moff Tarkin x2 Sabertooth x3 Mystique x1 I'll have to file this team away until the Deceptiteeth lose as I only have 3 Sabertooths. I also have only one Tarkin so I'd have to come up with a sub for him that's a Leader. Interesting team - those Venoms are nasty to deal with that's for sure...
