Well.. I was thinking of a striker that is all around good enough to start a competitive curve in the positive for the whole line... Just a start. So even IF strongarm turns out to be a very powerful striker, I dont think it would really tend to help the whole line that much, because hes 30 points... What transformers is in pretty desperate need of at this time, is a 10 point striker with just above average power. The best thing would be 2 above average 10 point strikers, one for each faction... That would certainly start transformers moving in a better direction. <Yoda Voice> still love the Jedi Knights, you do. I'd say that if Strongarm had a 70%ish recover (trooper) power and had a strike as good as KAM or Obi-Wan from the Star Wars line it would drastically change the playability of the TF franchise. Supplement that with a 20-point decent striker a-la-JediKnight but had a 65%ish attackback 3x Decepticon/Autobot power and the TF line is back in the running. Barring that, even with 10-point decent strikers they would have a tough time competing due to the trend toward limiting the amount of an individual figure at competitions. Otherwise, I agree wholeheartedly.

You are looking at series 3 TF before you get a good amount of strikers. No matter what TF are looking to be the most disappointing series outta the whole bunch. I keep wanting to give them the benefit of the doubt, but became too exhausted when I seen how many repaints they have for series 2.

Personally, TF2 is a travesty UNLESS the figures have some awesome power percentages going on. Otherwise the only thing I'm doing is buying Grimlock, Whirl, Starscream, Bumblebee and Dark Scorponok. You can tell that something is wrong when over half a set is repaints...

That's the problem. I only want maybe around 5-6 of the newer figures. The diffrence between this and Star Wars is that these are VERY obvious rehases of the same figures. Some will say "they are robots, of course they will have the same frames as eachother". I totally dissagree. You have Constructicons that are diffrent. You could have made all of the Dinobots instead of just Grimlock. Don't get me started on the exact same Optimus (my all time favortite Autobot). I could go on for several pages on this subject, but I won't, cause you would find it boring. I just don't like it when people are saying that Attacktix in general is starting to rehash everything. Star Wars is on S5 and, yes has several rehashes, but it is S5 for crying out loud. TF is only on S2 and it seems that 75% of the figures are rehashes. I am not happy about that one bit. Peace Out Hommies!

Exactly! Star Wars has 137 figures released (not unique figures, though, I may have lots of time on my hands but I don't like counting out every unique figure ) compared to Transformers having 27 figures released. Star Wars has the right to re-release figures at this point because there are SO many. Transformers needs an injection of originality in S3 because I don't want yet another set where over half of the figures are repaints. I can deal with retools and some good repaints and re-releases but this is frakking ridiculous!

With such a loud cry of disappointment, it makes me wonder, how many people are going to actually buy the Transformers Series 2? This could be a new Thread started. I for one am still on the fence. I may just get a few and leave the rest.

I will more than likely end up buying them but i will be really disapointed if s3 has over 25% repaints. It's not like there arn't enough transfromers for them to make, Hundreds in G1, Another 100ish in BW/BM Then over 100 for other series. Not to mention their vehicle/Beastmodes

You would be lucky if you only recieved 25% repaints in series 3. I would venture to guess you will have atleast that and more. Some where around 50% would be an accurate guess. I am taking this off of the Series 2 list. However, with that said, I am still going to get series 2. I am crossing my fingers that they rebound with series 3. Only time will tell and the way I look at it, it's not like I don't like them, I really do. I just don't want to keep buying the same figures over and over.....*cough "Tatoonie luke Skywalker" cough*

I just don't want to keep buying the same figures over and over.....*cough "Tatoonie luke Skywalker" cough* Endless editions of "Farm Boy" Luke are a yawner, but the one I am really tired of are the numerous editions of the Imperial Officer. We get an Imperial Cadet in Series 5... at least his name is changing
