I got that info from the "Next Week" shots they showed after last weeks episode. So no spoiler for me. I am curious as to what it is though. So Maya is infectious huh? Super sexy and infectious. If that isn't just a billboard for STD's.

Not to get on anyone's nerves or anything, I just don't see what so many people like about this show. There must be something to it though, because my two oldest and wife watch it regularly. They also watch "Lost" and I don't care for that either. I find both shows, well, boring.

Never bothered to watch the show (mostly because it was on at an inconvenient time for me). I'm sure if I watched it from the beginning, it'd be cool, but I never got the chance. I'll probably borrow from someone since the first season is on DVD now. Then maybe I'll see what the fuss is about.

Well, someone on the boards posted what's up with Peter, so I will try to explain all I know at the current moment in time. After her exploded he landed not far off the coast where somone got him and sent him to Ireland with a little box that contains his identity. This is important because Peter also has amnsesia. Well thats all I can tell you, but thats pretty much all you will know until the season unfolds. Also I have heard a lot of people ask what's up with Nathan's face, and I am always saying the same thing! "He Flew Nuclear Peter into the sky!" Now I don't know why his burnt face only appears in the mirror, but I had a thought. Basically Angela's power works so she can shield his face...In a way make others see it normal, but he sees it burnt.
But I also like Grievou's theory about it. I also called the Hiro/ Takezo swap...well sorta, and I thought I was going to be exactly right when Takezo got shot with arrows, until HE REGENERATED! And now we know Maya "has the power to kill the devil" I think this means that she kills all around her who have sinned, or have sinned and havn't asked forgiveness. I'm still exited to see Niki and Mica! Because I heard Niki goes on a sort of spiruital jounrey so to speak, and Mica is left with his aunt and cousin. His cousin is a girl who also has a power, and embraces it by fighting crime!
I am sooo going to make a "Copy Kingdom" shirt and wear it for Halloween! And who doesn't love "THE BOX!"

So Angela's power is to mask faces? Seems pretty average to me and it has already been done (Candice). Yes, he flew with Nuke Peter but he most likely dropped him before he blew and flew away. If Peter was actually giving off radiation and burning heat, everyone in the final battle scene of the season finale would have died from poisoning. That's my theory, at least. The burns are a metaphorical manifestation of Nathan's guilt at leaving Peter to explode and (apparently) die.
That is not supposed to be Kensei's power, darn it! He's supposed to be able to do something much cooler, not just regenerate like Claire. Oh well. Maybe he'll show it off later in the series or something...
You're taking the "kill the devil" line a bit to literally in my opinion. I'm pretty sure it's just a highly infectious disease which Alejandro cures. Did you see how his eyes went black and then back and how all the black blood just disappeared? It seems simple to me that Maya has a power that turns all blood within a certain area into an incredibly infectious disease. Alejandro is able to make said infection disappear (perhaps by absorbing it?) by being around Maya. Finally, it appears that he can heal people with the disease (maybe even people without it?) from near-death or possibly even death as long as he gets to them within a certain time frame (the unsavories from the season premiere didn't revive like Nadia did last night).
Now, the question for me is, what was up with Angela? Was she attacked by an invisible person (Claude?), a phaser (D.L.?), or by someone with an entirely different power? I personally think it's the same guy that can see Molly. He's able to get into people's heads and, in the case of Angela, I'd bet he showed her her absolute worst nightmare. Awesome power if I'm right.

So... Am I the only one that thought the black goop swirling and oozing from eye balls was an X-files rip off?

X-Files rip off? Maybe. But the show is basically the X-Men anyway, so no worries. And the show carries good character driven stories, so they could be similar to deal or no deal, just as long as the story stays good...I'll keep watching.

So... Am I the only one that thought the black goop swirling and oozing from eye balls was an X-files rip off? Yeah that was my thought as well when I saw that. They have borrowed extensively from other successful things, in particular comics. Much of the general plots and things from Season 1 and probably 2 come from Alan Moore's the Watchmen. It appears that Season 2 will draw at least somewhat from the storyline that followed Strife's death involving the Legacy Virus, in the X-men comics. A little derivative, but fun just the same.

You are familiar with the black oil alien virus from the x-files arent you? You would see the black oil swirl in the eyes of infected people, and at times (most often after they were dead) it would be oozing out of their eyes. I dont have a problem with them borrowing from other super hero tales... I mean really, every super hero story MUST have a super strong guy, and someone that flies. And it doesnt even bother me that they may be borrowing from x-files (let them sort that out with chris carter), I just thought it was interesting is all. I mean, I have only seen black gunk coming out of eye balls twice now.... And it happened on x-files about 10 years ago.

I finally have started watching Heroes, so I actually can now read this thread. Not much to say right now, just theories I'll post later. Just here to introduce myself to the Heroes clan. Oh, and today is a big day. It's October Two.

Well I still think Angela can somehow mask Nathan's face, I mean whats wrong with multiple people having the same ability. In fact, Tim said that they were trying to show everyone that there are circles of people who possess the same power. West/Nathan being able to fly, Claire/ Takezo (as far as we know being able to regenerate). I mean if her power is similar to Candice there is nothing wrong with it. I to believe that the person that Molly claims can see her/ The man that killed Kaito/ is the same person who "attacked" Angela. What I don't understand is why she got the "death note" twice? Was it to remind her that she was next???

While it is true that Angela could have Candice's power, I'm just not "feeling it", personally. Heroes is all about misdirection and drama and I feel that that is what the burn scene was, drama designed to misdirect. That, and I just can't see an awesome character like Mrs. Petrelli getting a power that's already been shown. She's far too cool of a character to get that tossed her way, it'd be like finding out Mr. Bennet had the ability to read minds. Cool, but it'd be sort of disappointing to see an awesome character get sidled with an ability we've already seen. Still, I have no more proof of my theory than you do yours so we'll just call this a creative impasse. Oh, and I don't think she got the note twice. I'm pretty sure it was just the original one already on her. I didn't see that scene well, though, so I could be completely wrong. Finally, with all this talk about Mrs. Petrelli, did anyone else feel like the highlight of that whole episode was her screaming at Matt via her thoughts all while keeping a completely ice-cold, straight faced exterior? The rest of the show was great but there was just something about that scene that made Mama Petrelli shoot up my character list. Great character.

What's cool is that if you miss an episode go to NBC.com and you can watch it online, and at close to -20 mins of time!
