I do think the t-rax/hiro painting and the scene in the museum is one and the same. The only thing that wasnt identical was the background... If I recall correctly it had like a streaking lighting effect? I think that would be an artistic interpretation on Isaac's part. But of course the real reason is that if the producers of the show had a museum looking background in the painting nobody would have been impressed and saying, "Oh my! Hiro is going to fight a dinosaur!" Apparently the writers are defending that the museum bit was what was predicted in Isaac's painting, claiming that because this was his first one without the aid of drugs it might not be as accurate. However, take into account the possibility that they're trying to throw people off track. Here are images, painting and reality. It's very clear that Hiro's sword is drawn and the dinosaur is in a much more agressive posture. As for the sword, no it more than likely wouldnt have any real effect on Hiro's powers. I personally think his inability to help the waitress has caused his little block, its all psychological. But he thinks the sword will help, so in the end it probably will. I've heard a really interesting theory on Hiro's sword. Basically, Hiro IS Takezo Kensei, the original owner of the sword. Compare Future Hiro with Kensei and you can see they look quite alike. I may be of a minority on this one... And the writers may in fact prove me wrong... But Mika's powers seem extremely lame, and somewhat useless. Who wouldnt rather be invisible, or be able to fly, or bend time and space? Manipulate electronics? Heh, maybe he could get my stupid old NES working again. Sure, invisibilty and time/space bending is cooler but who doesn't want to be able to touch a computer and draw out any information they'd like. Also, I wonder if once his power matures enough if he could upgrade systems and "reformat" them along the lines of Upgrade from Ben 10? Random Bit: Anyone here have any theories on Uluru The Invincible?

Basically, Hiro IS Takezo Kensei, the original owner of the sword. Compare Future Hiro with Kensei and you can see they look quite alike. I still think the scenes are one and the same. The real suspense builder here is the idea that hiro may be fighting a dinosaur in the future. This hype is achieved by the background of the painting hiding the parts of the real scene that would give away too much and make it less suspenseful. I would certainly agree that the dinosaur is in a more aggressive stance, but its head, mouth and basically everything but his claws are exactly the same.. But what are the chances of it being the exact same type of dinosaur? And really when you boil it all down, I think the show is a little too real to be sending someone back 120 million years into the past to fight giant monsters... Really, what would be the point? That theory on Hiro being Takezo is interesting. But really.... I dont know.... I think its much more likely that Hiro grows that little bit of chin hair just to look more like Takezo. Hiro obviously idolizes the guy... He talks about him like his practically a life partner or something.

I like that Takezo theory. It would be cool if when he gets the sword he tries to go save Charlie again and over shoots his mark, landing him in feudal Japan.
How do you guys watch Heroes? I watch it the next day and have a "Heroes Pizza Party" at my house using Dominos 5-5-5 deal (3 pizzas for $15). I highly recommend watching the show with friends.

We DVR it and then watch it commercial-free. A GREAT way to watch it, although it almost goes too fast.

I watch Heroes with my dad and older brother while flipping between it and other stuff. I recently came across a bunch of preview videos while going around the internet so I figured I'd post some links. Just remember, these will have spoilers for the next episode. First, these 6 videos are from IGN.com. I only watched the Sylar one but it was quite informative. Second is an official "in the weeks to come" commercial from NBC that can be found here. However, I can't seem to get the video working at the moment.

As you can tell by the proper grammar, capitalization, and punctuation, the above post is NOT my younger brother Jango. Apparently, I never realized that his account was the one logged in when I hopped onto the computer so I accidentally posted as him. So, just read the above as being from me.
Sorry!

Okay, I feel it is time to revive this thread. I didn't catch much of "Run!" last Monday but I liked what I saw. Matt goes dirty but what was more interesting was his mind-reading of Niki and Jess. After that, I would put money on them being two completely separate identities (as if the appearing/disappearing tattoo wasn't enough) because I doubt he would have heard two minds if it was just a split-personality, probably would have been more of a feedback-type of situation. Even better than the episode, in my opinion, was the recent graphic novel posted here. Road Kill shows what happens to Sylar in between Run! and Distractions. First thing to note is that it pretty much kills the "Sylar turns good" theory because he explains his mission is to acquire as many powers as possible which means killing heroes. Doesn't help that he kills a guy for no reason. It also proves that Sylar does have Charlie's memory ability (there was some speculation that he wouldn't have had enough time to get out). Finally, Sylar DOES have a freezing ability. He ices the road in one panel of the novel.

I really liked Zane as well and it was quite the smooth move when Sylar swabbed his cheek for DNA instead of his own. Also, I had seen a preview of that part of the episode (in the link in my bro's post) but I figured he'd just heat up the object to cause it to melt, not actually molecularly discombobulate it.
As far as the Mohinder/Sylar team-up goes, I really hope that Mohinder is smart and keeps Sylar away from The List. If Sylar so much as gets a glance at it then every hero is a goner due to his super memory that he gained from the waitress chick.
In a slightly off-topic bit, it looks like Peter can definitely tap into Sylar's powers. Check out the second link in Jango's post. It leads to a set of "upcoming weeks" trailers. It appears that Peter force blasts Isaac at one point, leading me to believe that he can use Sylar's powers and not just his actual one but the ones he has stolen as well. I had a theory that Peter might have only gotten the Adaptive ability (Sylar's original) but that appears to be wrong.
On the point of Sylar's original power, does anyone else think that he was able to study the thingyroach in that one episode where he was laying on the floor awhile back in order to make it look like he was dead in the episode after that (I believe the episodes I'm speaking about are two or three back)? thingyroaches can go into a sort of hibernation where it looks like they're dead, leading me to believe that Sylar somehow adapted that ability into his body just like he does with his powers. Freaky, huh?

WARNING!!! Spoilers For "Unexpected" Ahead!!!
Wow, that was a freaking awesome episode!
First, I couldn't tell if Hiro turned time back period or just around the bullet during the scene with Hope. It could work either way but it looked like he just reversed the bullet since Hope had a bit of recoil.
I can't wait until next week after the preview and all the stuff going on between HRG and Claire. Hopefully we get some real answers but I actually DON'T want them to reveal Mr. Bennet's first name because he's just so cool being JUST Horned Rim Glasses.
Finally, was that ending awesome or what? I wonder what's next for all the characters. Also, did Peter just unveil a new power with that "super scream" or did he just use telekinesis and somehow his voice was altered?
Overall, this last episode was really, really good and Company Man (the next episode) should be absolutely great!

The only thing I really spoiled was one scene, the rest was indistinct enough that it shouldn't give anything away.
Sorry to anyone else who reads the post and gets anything spoiled they don't want spoiled! I'll put a warning in there so no one else gets hit with a time difference problem.

Who is company man? Somebody flies, somebody lies, somebody dies. I figured somebody else on the third one there. Crazy. Stupid nurse. I guess she forgot what confidentiality is. Or maybe it doesn't apply to crazy people, i don't know.

Is it just me, or does it appear that the more Peter gains control over his powers, the less control he has of himself? He just seems to be a bit out of his mind. Granted, he had reason to be mad, after Isaac basically stabbed him in the back, but he was really raging.

"Company Man" is the name of the next episode, the one that's basically HRG's "origin story". It looks absolutely amazing from everything I've read.
I have two theories after the last episode.
First, could the main character who died still be alive? After all, it was "someone dies" (singular) but two people bit the bullet (plural). There's no chance Bionic Ear is still alive so what if the "end of episode" death wasn't really a death?
Second, I think I might know the origins of Peter's "super scream" power. There are three possibilities.
First is that it actually was super scream (possible but who would he have gotten the power from?). Second is that it was a side effect of telekinesis (makes sense plus Sylar sounded like that during his talk with Mrs. Bennet an episode or two ago). Third is that it was actually Eden's persuasion power.
I really like the third idea and it makes sense. His voice sounded like Eden's when she persuaded Sylar awhile back and he came in contact with Eden in a really early episode when he went to meet with Mohinder. It also helps that Peter's words during his weird voice phase was "Don't lie to me". Did Isaac lie after that? I think not.
Finally, anyone else notice HRG's reactions after Peter was invisible, slowed time, used telekinesis, and flew all in a short time? If I remember right, Bennet was very confused when Sylar exhibited more than one ability (pretty sure they thought he only had two). Just think what went through his mind when he met a hero with four abilities...
