At the Comic con they were promoting "Villains" as series 3. I tried to get in to see the heroes panel (held in the biggest room at the convention), but the line stretched around the entire length of the San Diego Convention Center.

I stopped watching after the cheerleader was saved, for the most part. I liked the fact that in the beginning there was a goal stated, and we watched them attain it. The second season was a bit cheesy with the amnesia bit, and the virus seemed a bit gay too...I watched 3 episodes and went back to Battlestar Galactica...

I saw the first and it was REALLY good, as I expected. Now I have to go rent the 2nd season to catch up.....

Is it just me, or did they do a horrible job of advertising for the season premier? I didnt know it was going to be on until about an hour before.... And Ive been waiting for it for months.
Anyway, the show was awesome. And we finally got some kind of confirmation as to what Mrs. Petrelli's powers are.
So, is Linderman a figment of Nathan's imagination? Is Sylar really a long lost Patrelli? And what in the world is happening to Dr. Suresh?... Perhaps the first physically altered "mutant"?

I found the deal with Suresh to be a bit too much like the 1986 movie The Fly with Jeff Goldblum.
So a vented door can stop Sylar. I didn't realize he was so easy to avoid. :/
I love Speedster girl. Making her Hiro's "nemesis" was a great idea.
HRG is back! Love this guy. Can't wait to see him teamed up with Sylar and how that's going to work out.
Other than that, I found some things goofy (Peter in a criminals body, Sylar's a Petrelli), and then I found some things really interesting (Hiro and the code).
Look foward to tomorrow.

Its exactly like the fly. Jeff Goldblum even climbed a wall and showed amazing feats of strength before his teeth started falling out and his skin started getting yucky. If memory serves correctly (havent seen the fly in about 20 years ).

...and let's not forget that the moron writers decided to make.... A GERMAN with electromagnetic powers. I wonder how long until Stan Lee sues! I could see Sylar as a long-lost Patrelli, perhaps a survived abortion or adopted out child come home to roost.

After I saw that last week, I started wondering if Dr Suresh would start sprouting blue hair.

Just put some adamantium (sp?) claws onto Claire. (Wolv.) Shave Matts head. (Prof.) The new girl, who freezes people needs to become totally encased in ice. (Icewm.) The fast girl can find out later she's the magnetic cons daughter. (QuickSilver) (Pietro) Give Nathan wings. (Angel) I'm sure I could think of more, but that's it for now.

Yeah, it was a little "X-Men"ish. I can totally see Syal as a Peterilli, afterall these powers are genetic. Maybe He is Peters Twin and they tried to kill each other as babies But didn't we meet Sylars mom and dad in previous episodes. Ehh, I suppose anything can be explained away with a few lines of dialogue.

Hehe, yeah Season 1 was very much derived from the x-men, Watchmen, etc. I think Season Two was a bit more original and not as well liked by most so I guess they're piling on the derivatives hard for the Third Season. I guess we'll see if it is a success.

I found the deal with Suresh to be a bit too much like the 1986 movie The Fly with Jeff Goldblum. Some people online pointed this out while the first episode was airing and watching the similarities unfold in the second episode was great. Him turning into some kind of monster and then Maya having to take him down with a gun would complete it. I've enjoyed the season so far, as far as two episodes go. I was so excited to have the Hiro/Ando duo back, since their storyline was one of my favorites from Season 1. The HRG/Sylar team-up should also be infinitely awesome. Anyone thinking Micah might become some kind of vengeful antihero? He has a kind of Batman-like setup, now with both of his parents dead. He also was set up last season as one wanting to use actually use his power for a purpose. I could see it.
