The characters acted SO stupidly in this episode. Agreed. I'm not entirely convinced that Peter actually has a phasing power. There are a multitude of ways to use the powers he has to achieve that effect. Also, even if he DID phase, you have to remember that he did it in a moment of desperation while his mind was addled- the chances are that Peter doesn't even realize he has that ability. He trusts them? Where did you hear him say that? The guy wants his family safe and the Company to pay. Can you think of a better way for him to ensure these things than from the inside? Really? I guess I'm in the minority. I'm about all Sylar'ed out. It's not that he's not cool or interesting, but I'm just kinda burned out regarding him. When he got the powers back, my first thought was a fear that the third season would just be a first-season "Sylar hunt" all over again. I think it's even deeper. Adam may very well die, but it will probably take years. Hiro ensured a slow, torturous death. The Hiro we know and love could have gotten over hacking the guy's head off, but what he actually did is so much darker... Given the possible scope of his powers, the idea that Hiro could be started on a journey to the Dark Side is about the creepiest thing I saw in that episode. Claire's his daughter. I'm pretty sure they can find her. The question is if they can do it before he's "beyond help." I dunno. There's something to the Company bringing him back and being all "Now you know that things get done OUR way." Aside from that, I listened carefully as Angela was watching the news. They say he was shot. They do not declare him dead. Maybe there was something I missed, but after DL's crafty death this season, I was really scrutinizing that. I think it's a given that we're meant to think it's Bennett. Whether it actually is will probably come into play next season. A few other notes: -Who says Niki is dead? I didn't see a body. Rule number 1: if you don't see a body, there's no guarantee the character is dead. -I found the idea that Angela might have been talking to Parkman very chilling. He's really on his way to becoming more ruthless than his dad. -I truly hope that we find out what the powers are of the 'Founders' next season. I'm going crazy wondering what Angela can do. After all, this woman survived a plague that decimated 93% of the population... the current 'tactile persuasion' thing isn't totally working for me.

After that response, I only have these to say:
1. Peter does in fact have phasing powers. Remember in the jail cell with Adam? It's how they got out of the Company. He definitely could have phased through those safe walls. He snatched the power from D.L. in the last season finale.
2. HRG obviously trusts the Company enough to join them in any shape or form rather than just letting Claire out them. In order to even make something resembling a deal, HRG is trusting on them to not just take Claire and run.
3. I'm not sure if Adam would die. Theoretically, couldn't his healing power heal the damage caused by lack of oxygen? I'm a bit rusty on my biology but it seems to work to me...
4. With Nathan, I was specifically referring to Bobafetch's post where he said Peter could just heal him. Of course they could just fly in Claire/The Company. And, again, I doubt the Company would up and heal Nathan. It was Mohinder who got HRG healed (apparently, anyways) and that was due to a connection between them. The only connection Nathan has is Mama Petrelli who clearly doesn't care about her sons' lives as long as it suits her.
That is all...

He definitely could have phased through those safe walls. He snatched the power from D.L. in the last season finale. Ah, forgot about the escape. Okay, he clearly does know he can phase, then. Guess that just brings us back to 'characters acting stupidly.' Well, the beauty of it is that it's a double-edged sword. The Company figures that Bennett won't move against them while they can dangle threats about Claire, and they desperately need his skills/experience. Bennett figures they won't move against Claire as long as he stays in line (or at least provides the facade). Neither trusts the other; they just each have something the other needs, and are willing to play nice until that no longer applies. It's not just the lack of oxygen. Starvation, dehydration, muscle atrophy... Unless Adam can spontaneously regenerate cells from the aether, eventually he's going to hit a point that there's nothing left for his body to work with. In a literal sense, he'll use himself up, dry out, and (presumably) die. The Company has a history of leaving people who are dangerous to them alive. They knew how to kill Adam, but they thought it was a better idea to just lock him up. They knew Sylar was a mass murderer, but they just took away his powers and tossed him in the jungle. They knew Bennett had the ability to bing them down, and they brought him back to life!Healing Nathan (assuming he's dead to begin with) and telling him to 'remember his place' wouldn't be out of line with the actions they've taken so far. I'd also argue that Mohinder didn't heal Bennett necessarily because of their history, but because of the need to test the blood and a desire to 'fix' his 'mistake.' Mohinder isn't the type who can kill a man (even in the defense of someone else) and be okay with it. Even if he killed Sylar, he'd have issues to deal with afterward. As far as Angela goes, I agree that she's pretty ruthless (especially regarding the lives of her sons), but again, I think "We could have killed you, let that be a lesson" is a much more effective tool than just killing him outright. She'd probably be the first to call Claire in, then tell Nathan to keep his piehole shut if he wanted to keep his life.

So what's up with "the Symbol"? It is everywhere from Adam's sword and banner to Jassica's shoulder, and even Clair's textbook. Does it have any meaning, or do they just like to put it everywhere they can? Even in the dust of the virus:

I don't think that's what he meant, Leumas . I'm pretty sure the symbol is just a sort of easter egg that pops up freaking everywhere. In the first episode with Matt WAY back in season one, the symbol was literally floating in Molly's parent's house's pool and was made up of floating debris. Another time was when it flashed in Molly's eyes while she was hunting down Nightmare Man. Finally, there was Peter's tattoo from when he first got back "The Box". It was something normal but it then transformed into The Symbol before disappearing. Here's a big list with pictures of all of themNone of these seem to be connected so I think the symbol's a "just for fun" type of thing but that's just me .

No, there wil be a reason behind it eventually. It's too common for me to believe it's only an Easter Egg. But, time will tell.

Bump for great justice! Just stumbled on a trailer for Volume Three: Villains. Looks many times better than Volume Two, especially since it appears that Sylar truly is back to his old self and better than ever. Go watch it!

No one really knows but they'll likely get back to work on it as soon as that silly old writer's strike ends .

Found this at IGN.com. February 11, 2008 - While the strike looks just about over, Heroes fans shouldn't expect new episodes in the immediate future. The news filtering out seems to confirm that the NBC superhero hit won't be back until this fall, despite writers almost certainly going back to work this week.
The reason for the delay seems centered around issues unique to Heroes from both a production and structural standpoint. Heroes creator Tim Kring told ew.com last week that he felt that they could probably only finish three more epsidoes of the series if they attempted to film more to air by the end of this TV season in May.
Heroes is formatted in large story arcs, the next of which is called "Villians." Doing just three more episodes this season would mean either making that story much shorter than intended, or making the audience wait several months for the story to conclude in the fall. Says Kring to ew.com, "With a show like Heroes that's so strongly serialized, and given what we wanted to accomplish with the new storyline, to come back with just three episodes could be creatively dangerous."
An additional report on AintitCoolNews comes from Berlin, saying that Heroes star Hayden Panettiere is also confirming that there won't be anymore Heroes episodes this season. However, she says the new season will begin shooting in April, which is extremely early for fall TV episodes. Heroes actually went back into production earlier than most shows last summer too, in June, and with the strike having put the entire schedule in disarray, the April production start could simply be an attempt to ramp up for Season 3 as quickly as possible. Like we aren't used to waiting.

Ya, and I think that they are going to do a sort of "mini-series" focusing on specific people called Origins.
I heard that it won't be focusing on the "Heroes" in the main series, it will just have random people with different powers. But main heroes like Peter Petrelli or Hiro may make a guest appearance. Now the reason for sooting this show is that when they took the 3 week breaks or whatever in between episodes every once in awhile, they lost a lot of viewers. So it's filling that gap, and giving us some new Heroes, to enjoy!
Has anyone else heard this?

No, I haven't heard that. I fine with it as long as the characters are as likable as some of our favorites. I saw the trailer on TV and it showed a lot of Claire, Peter, and Sylar.
I'm looking forward to seeing this on TV again. Not too many shows I ever look forward to. TV stinks until the NFL starts up again. Like tonight when the COLTS meet the redskins at the Hall of Fame Game. It's only preseason, but it's still NFL! ;D
