That's exactly what I personally feel as well Y.B.. It looks as though you rear him back and give him a good push and let go. If he goes around 10 times, then he goes around 10 times.

True, but there never has been an "official" ruling on Gold figures anyways. As far as I know they're all fan-made tourney rules. Also, chromes don't effect tournament play but they still mean something since they're harder to get. With the Wampa and Sandman they're different just to be different rather than having any source of meaning. It's more of a personal thing, I guess. I like things decently tidy and to have some sort of meaning. These new colors on Megas really lack that and I'm not a fan of it. Right, Golds do not have a true tournament rule... but they have already made the silvers... which DO have a rule, so the color variation was definitely in mind. And the Hasbro team has had discussions about the limits to gold bases, but nothing is official - I think that may be due to the old talks about WotC coming into play?? The Chromes also don't have tournament rulings... but that is because they are just like Chase Foil cards. Same figures, rarer "paper". The Gold bases were same figures BETTER powers. So as long as the tournament legal figures stay black and chrome, the Megas can stay any color they want Though I do agree it could give the OCD collector fits. I could see Monk trying to display his Attacktix now.

Yes, but the rules say "Rotate figure to attack with a swinging kick" not "Push Spider-Man to make him swing around pole" or what not. Rotate, to me, implies that the user actually rotates the figure around the pole manually. Anyways, I decided to do everyone a favor and scan in that section of the instructions so you all can see what I'm talking about... I appreciate being able to see the instructions, and as far as I can tell, the diagram seems to indicate that Spidey should be given a good push, rather than continuously rotated by hand. The reason I say that is that it appears the hand is located in only one place in the diagram. Rather than following the figure around, it seems that it just gives Spidey a push around his pole. However, I'd say that Spidey should be able to move around his pole as many times as the original push lets him, whether that be 180, 360, 720, 546, 497, or 1135.6 degrees We spun the pole, like a top. But I do see the hand on the Spidey, not the pole... Again, with the Megas, since they won't have a tournament ruling on them... it will probably come down to house rules.

Best Spidey Attack: Take rubber band between thumb and pinky. Pull back band with other hand, making sure center of band is on Spidey's back. Release rubber band. Spidey spins at a rate approaching speed of light.
Like GE said (*like the light bulb over his head) it's a set of toys that will likely see more dust than play...If Venom and New GG weren't in it I'd be passing, just like on Luke and Wampa (as I already have more Mark Hamill than I can take).

Sometimes the light bulb burns out and I forget to change it.

I finally Got a Spidey Tournament set this past saturday the 19th at a TJ Max. Yes I'm a little behind on this but when they were out at the target and such I didn't have the money. Anyway it didn't have a price on the box. So when I went up to buy it the lady asked me "How much is this" "I was hoping you would know." "How about $6.99?" "Hmm... OK!" Not a bad price if i do say so myself. SO if you don't have one yet keep any eye out.
My take on the set is this Venom: Love him, I want another one. Big Base, Stable, Cool Sculpt, Good spring in the launcher. New Goblin: Longer string than first goblin, Cool Sculpt, Good spring in the launcher, but I wish he was 30 points. Spider-Man Mega: Cool buy same questions as above posts. Sandman Mega: ok looking, Sad hand attack, bad spring and poor range of motion and a sad spring in the launcher. wouldn't K.O. anyone from more that a few inches away. I guess he get to do the hand and missile in one round?

I guess he get to do the hand and missile in one round? I believe so. We've always done it that way anyway. He is rather anemic even with the multiple attack options.

What? Why only one Venom in a Tournament? Who Said? At TixCon that was the rule. He is so hard to knock down and recovers (vanquishes) so much that generally whichever team had more venoms would win. As it was with a limit of one each, a lot of matches ended up coming down to Venom vs. Venom or very close to that.

Probably one of the best decisions we've ever come up with. It worked very well to limit him. He's way too undercosted.
