If you look closely you'll also see batteries and ear drops. Whatever could I be using those for! Back on topic. I'm glad you guys like this idea. I feel by adding some form of defense and by keeping it cheap, we can add an element into the game that hasn't been there before. We still have to keep the element of Attacktix in there by focusing on the attack part more so, (It's not called DefenseTix) but it's nice to have a variety of other strategies to utilize as well. This could keep little black droids alive so that people who get the short end of the stick and go second have a better chance of keeping him alive. Posted by sfx5000 on Today at 7:44am Looks cool and very promising.
There's been an idea I've been kicking around for a bit concerning walls, gun turrets, etc. Some of these items would have an effect called something like: "Emplacement" (might need better, simplier name) and the effect would be worded something like: "This figure may only be moved during your teams first movement round", or something like that.
So if you had a Hoth gun with a movement of six you could move it (and any other guns, walls) during your first move turn and set them up and there they stay |
Love those ideas! Feel free to copy what I have started here and expand upon it. The more things we throw out the better the results will be. We can fine tune this and hopefully see Hasbro incorporate some of it into the game. That is if they EVER release anything new.

If you want them to last, make sure to CLEARCOAT. Use gloss acrylic and it will be pretty durable. Great stuff! I just have to comment on the "glossiness" of the Sith Guardians with the clear coat. They look like streetwalkers wearing black raincoats!!

As well as flat and satin. Satin would be better for Sith as it gives a mottled, blurry look. I have 3 cans here, next time you come over let me know and you can have one. We use them to poison and preserve butterflies.

I ended up going with Matte on the Sith. It makes them darker and "one with the night" more so.
Do you know where my biggest problem arose? keeping the paint on the darn lightsabers! It would keep chipping off everytime I would strike a figure. Frustrating to say the least. That is until I used finger nail polish crack resistant coating on them. Works like a charm, but stinks to high heaven. I put on 3 coats and have had minimal chipping.

It is meant as a base coat as well as a topcoat when you do your nails, so it would probably work on the lightsabers better that way too... now that we know.

Sometimes sacrifices have to be made when you are creating LIFE! Lest this be a warning to all who trespass...........

Man, those turrets are great!!! The heavy looks devestating! How far does the 'Buzz" missile shoot? Really doesn't need to go much more than 3 ft., right? But I'm curious.
Did you change the specials? Are you combining game play with your bulwarks?
Wicked job!

I always keep all the parts to any figure I scavange from. I've got legs, arms, heads, weapons galore.
I haven't changed the specials on the turrets yet. I still need to do a paint job on them as well. I've still got tons of ideas that are running through my head. I've got a list so I don't forget them. I know I'll get back to it whenever..........
Heavy turret consists of Gunship body, Megatrons gun, and gun from battle case. Simple to make and works wonderfully. I gave one to ConaChris and he liked it as well. You can adjust the aim up or down easily. The big bullet is a crowd killer! Shoot that into a group and you should knock down a couple of figures (depending on range) everytime.
Light turret is the same deal as the heavy, but has Nute Gunrays gun. Needed to do something with the 20 Nutes that I had, so I figured this is a good start.

You are very organized! 20 Nutes? I thought I was bad! Way to go GE! Simple yet satisfying! I can see a simple black paint of the big turret blaster to very complex color shemes...

Yes, it's a sickness. To be honest, I probably have more than that! I was thinking black and silver. I just have to figure out my specials and such as well. Right now I'm working on something else. Failed just a bit ago, so I'm trying a different route this time. I'll get pics up as soon as he's all together.
