Here's a few of my unfinished customs. I've been meaning to post pictures for some time now, but always managed to not. I hope you enjoy them and remember, they are unfinished. Striking and force blast Mace Windu. He works in both ways very well. Force blast Yoda. I used Lukes force blast arm, removed his left arm with the lightsaber, attached his right arm to his left arm hole, cut off both of his hands, attached is lightsaber hand to his left (now right) arm. He no longer strikes, but both arms move up and down with no problems. Luke in the center. I removed his force blast arm, installed a striking mech inside of him, and attached Luke's S2 arm. Much harder than I first thought it was going to be. At first I used Darth Vader from the S1 starter set arm, but found the angle it made the lightsaber stick out unsatisfactory. So, then I went a head and used S2 Lukes and figured I'd have to paint it later. Getting the striking mech inside of him required lots of Dremel work along with putty and glue. Not 100% happy with his striking power, but I do now have a striking Jedi Luke! ;D I now need to change point and class values. Any suggestions?

I'd say...
Change Yoda's speed to 8 and keep the current point value. Change Luke's speed to 10 and make him 30 points. Change Mace's speed to 8 also, but make him 40 points.

Here's what I am going to go with.
Yoda 8 speed - 30 points - changed his force blast to green. Luke 14 speed - 30 points Mace 8 speed - 40 points - special to be changed to Shatter-point-You may look at the bottom of ALL of your opponents figures.
I don't want to make them too powerful, and yet I have to think to myself .................why not?
I just finished painting them. Thanks to all the pioneers for the tips on painting techniques. It makes it much easier when you are about to take a journey and others have already paved the road for you. I am thinking of bringing them to TixCon, but am reluctant now that I have witnessed the sheer awesomeness of THE SENTINEL!

If you want them to last, make sure to CLEARCOAT. Use gloss acrylic and it will be pretty durable.
Great stuff!

Ok, these are Kick Azz! Luke Skywalker is tremendous along with Mace. Sith Warriors, boy oh boy, really like the red saber treatment, have you thought about making their boots darker? Master Yoda, fantastic! You are far braver than me. I couldn't bring myself to customize a factory Yoda. (We only ever pulled one out all the boosters and the other was an ebay purchase). All must go to Tixcon! Attacktixman commands it!

Thanks for the heads up. I used Enamel paints and found them to be very forgiving. I was wondering if I should use something else to make them last longer. I thought about making the boots dark, but decided I wanted a larger color scheme and left them alone. Now I did think about covering up that bit of brown that shows under the chin area. The Yoda was actually part of a deal I struck. He only cost me a couple of dollars because the person who had him before me thought him to be broken. Which he was, but not entirely. His left arm was already super glued which made it extremely tough to crack his shell open to swap the arms. His torso was not attached to his striking mech anymore. It would have actually been an easy fix to make him work again, but I really only bought him for the sole purpose of making a force blast Yoda. I am going to change Yoda's special to Vengeance- pick and remove one of your opponents figures. I'm working on making an effect for Luke that would effect Darth Vader. I'm not sure how to word it at the moment though. I now will be working on a couple of Megas that have been sitting around collecting dust. ;D Check back soon for WarGreyelephant!

Make the verbiage "Remove ANY opposing figure you choose, or off your choice" so it's more concise and understandable...don't want to have a Committee ruling!
Be advised that this time of year Enamels (especially TESTORS) have a nasty habit of NOT DRYING. I made 5 figures that still aren't dry, 2 years later.
Also, Enamel is very durable, but brittle to impacts in some cases. Be sure to clearcoat it with some Krylon Crystal Clear (or alternative). Coat it every 5 minutes or so with a thin coat and do that 5-10 times. It will be as good as factory and very abrasion (IE sliding across table, falling) resistant.
Nice work buddy!

Ditto to superflys comments on Enamels, I've found a lot of them work well, but green and blacks in particular can have trouble drying.
You definitely want to coat them with some quality spray if you want them to last and are going to use them.

I have had no problems with the colors not drying as of yet. The green on Yodas force blast did take a while, but I figured it was because of how much paint I put on it. I'm having problems finding this "clear coat" that you guys are talking about. Is it a spray or do I have to use a brush? I went to Michaels and came out empty handed.

While making a custom you come across several obstacles that try to prohibit you from doing what you want to do. Here is one such problem that I solved by being a little resourceful and a bit lucky as to what I had around me at the time to give me the idea. This is a typical Gunship Mega base. It has several pieces to it. I have found some you need, some you don't. The biggest problem I found was that I didn't want the big black top or "shell" that attaches to the top of the base. I wanted to make it more level. The biggest problem that I had was the spring. The spring needs constant pressure to make sure that once the targets are hit, that they will indeed make the bottom button pop. The other problem is that the spring needs to slid around something to make sure it doesn't bend out of place. I tried some make shift ideas and all failed. I needed something stronger that would also be durable in the long run so I would have to crack this baby open every other game I played due to it either breaking or slipping out of place. This is a better shot of what I actually did. I was drinking from a water bottle at the time. So I ended up attaching that lid from the bottle to the frame of the base. Then I drove another screw through the lid, through the middle of the springs top opening, so that the spring would stay in place. This has worked fantastically! Very strong and reliable so far. Makes me feel better about continuing on with the putty. Another shot. So I figured it is going to take something big to compete with the Superfly Sentinel. Maybe a "King" of some sorts.
Pictures to be updated later.
