In the starter set look at the booklet that comes with. For the checklist both SW and TF have them listed as series 1 (I did not open the Marvel set yet). And the pictures inside are not congruent to the website listings, missiles in the book and force blast on the web. The errors in the book are strange, but it's not the first time the books have been wrong. I'm more concerned with the errors on the figures. The missiles, as I mentioned earlier, and the fact that Chewbacca is a medium missile launcher with speed of 12! Other figures have come fairly close to this, such as S1 Clone Sergeant (Small missile, speed 10), S3 Greedo (Medium missile, speed 8), and S3 Wedge (Medium missile, speed 8), but Chewbacca is a beast without precedent! I've already learned to fear him on the battle field!

I think Webhead explained this once - the Chewbacca in the starter set was going to be a striker, so he chose a speed of 12 for it, and then later on someone decided to switch it to a launcher and they kept all the same stats, so that's how S5 Chewbacca got a speed of 12.

Sounds lazy to me. Oh well, revolutionary 12 speed shooter then.

Oh, I never heard that interesting tidbit of information before. Well, I guess that explains Chewbacca's above average beastliness!

Yeah, he's brutal on the battlefield, as some others have said.

I finally got the opportunity to check out our local TJ Maxx (Vancouver, WA), and found:
1 S1 Marvel Starter (Spidey, Wolvie, Doc OCk & Sabretooth) 5 S4 SW Boosters 1 S2 Transformers Starter (OP, Megatron, Landquake & Skywarp)
I bought the S2 TF Starter, of course. Got a blue missile for Skywarp, but it doesn't bother me. Anyway, thanks again, Grievous!! I'll have to check out the ones in Portland soon to try and locate the SW5 and M2 Starters.

I would personally thank whoever switched the figure to the Launcher sculpt. I bought the S5 Starter for two figures, the Heavy Stormtrooper (20-point, 6 speed, Medium Missile, Trooper, 69% Warrior Attackback = Obi-Wan Support!) and, far more importantly, the 12-speed Shooter Chewie. If Chewie was an average 30-point striker (or worse, uppercutter) with a 69% Shootback, I never would have used him or wanted him. However, a wicked fast 30-point shooter with 69% Shootback is amazing and a must-have. A simple sculpt switch turned the SW5 Starter from a one-figure show into a must-have. Sounds like a good deal to me!

Marshall's was very, very good to me. The other TJ Maxx stores around me had perhaps one starter set each (not counting the little piggy who had none), but Marshall's was a smorgasbord of S5/S2 starters. Though I poached the only two TF starters after work from the Marshall's shelves around me, there were still SW S5 and Marvel S2 starters available at both of those Marshall's after I left. Thanks for the tip!

I'll be paying another visit to Teej today, to hopefully find an SW5/M2/TF2 booster or two...or ten.
