Yeah, I am going to hit a couple more today.
If anyone finds any extra Marvels or Transformers, hit me up! I already have a Star Wars coming, ala Grievous.

Someone on the board (not naming names, and NOT me) called me and told me that they got SEVERAL marvel starters and one TF starter from a couple of area local TJ MAXXs.
So, looks like the hunt has begunnith! ;D

Has anyone ever been inside of a Marshalls or AJ Wright store? The reason I ask is because TJ Maxx is affiliated with these stores and possibly they too carry toys. Chris or Steve?

I will not divulge as this individual did not indicate he or she did not want the information as public knowledge. And it's not Steve. ;D

Stopped at another T-Maxx and found another Marvel S2 starter. Still no SW or TF's.

Interesting random tidbit:
My Wal-Mart has had two Marvel Attacktix boosters sitting on a peg in the clearance aisle at full price (with "Attacktix" on the peg and everything) for the past few weeks. Today, the peg and boosters were gone. Instead the two boosters were sitting in between the Transformers and Star Wars stuff in the middle of a set of six empty pegs with blanked prices.
Why would Wal-Mart remove the peg they were on and move them back into the main aisle (again, these boosters were never on clearance, just in the aisle) with the exact same number of empty pegs Tix used to have and in the exact same spot as they used to be in? I don't dare get my hopes up too much but I find this very, very odd and very, very thought-provoking.

I would like to state publicly that Grievous is now officially a SuperPimp. Anyone who is the guy who not only FINDS them, but shares the wealth, is a good dude.
Hats off!

While I consider such a title more than a bit off and silly in its usage these days, I will consider it a compliment. Now, if I'm able to somehow get my mitts on the boosters here soon, I will officially declare myself a mutant with the powers of "Attacktix Magnetism" with the title of "Bringer of Hope to Attackticians". I'll also officially declare my run for presidency under the tagline of "Screw the rules, I have money! Except for the fact that I'm broke!" ;D

Haven't played with them yet, but the Hulk seems like he'll be a good one with his 14 speed!

Has anyone ever been inside of a Marshalls or AJ Wright store? The reason I ask is because TJ Maxx is affiliated with these stores and possibly they too carry toys. A good point, and if it weren't for MidnightMajick reminding me of that this morning, I would've missed some good deals!!! We split up and headed to several different TJ Maxx and Marshalls stores today. Between the 2 of us, we hit 4 different TJ Maxx locations and 3 different Marshalls. We indulged in the cheap deals like the $10 SM Tournament Set, as well as some SW-S4 Battle Master Sets and boosters from each of the current series. As far as the new stuff goes, we now have one of each starter, plus 3 additional Marvel Series 2 Starters that I'm willing to trade for either SW-S5 or TF-S2 Starters. Sorry, I'm not breaking them open to trade the figures individually. As you can see, this pumped up the value of my trade bait considerably, so if you're looking for any of these things, then check out my trading thread here. Congratulations again to Grievous, and Jango with their amazing find, and a big "thank you" to both of them also, for their inadvertent discovery which lead to all of us running around like mad hunting for 'Tix once again, like the good ol' days!

I went to the only tj maxx within resonable distance frm my home today and found nothing I was interested in. They had 2 tournament sets, a re-paint gunship and a few boosters... But what I really want/need is a MV2 starter....
If anyone has extra MV2 starters, I will buy them... Ill even pay extra if you like..... Please PM me!

I think its great that some of the new stuff has been found at stores like TJMAXX and Marshals, but it kind of concerns me:
I never been in a TJ's before, but I gotta admit, I ran down after work the other day like a little kid drooling on myself and the store was set up like a clothes store. I kept looking and lo and behold they had one wall with toys & kid stuff, but alas, no 'Tix.
Alot of the stuff was marked down Clearance (awfully familiar to what I've seen in other stores long ago) so I think they may be a re- buyer of other stores Clearance merchandise like Big Lots and Tuesday Morning is. So I really don't know if this bodes well for wide distribution release in other stores like Wal-Mart, Target, Toys R Us, etc.
Its great to be excited for new releases and in the meantime, lets just keep playing what we got to keep the'Tix fires burning!
One more thing, I really can't believe that Hasbro would invest the money in molds and pre-Production because once a company has spent that kind of money they might as well follow through unless they think they will really suffer losses.

One thing we're all wondering is "Why?". Why are we seeing them at discount stores before normal toy retailers? Well guess what..... I don't know the answer! ;D Something I noticed about the figures, well the new SW and TF Starter figures, is a small mistake with the weapons. For the SW set, you have Darth Vader (no projectile needed), and Han, Chewbacca, and the Heavy ST. The projectiles you're provided with don't match up with the factions of the figures provided. Good guys get blue, bad guys get red, and Wookies, along with other in-between factions, get green. In that set, you get 1 green medium missile, and 2 red mediums? I thought this was strange... Same for the TF set. You have Landquake (no projectile needed), Optimus, Megatron, and Skywarp. The color schemes for the "force blast" style projectiles for Optimus/Megatron don't really make much sense, but it's not that bad. However, the medium missile provided for Skywarp makes no sense at all. Autobots have red missiles, Decepticons have purple. That's the way it's been, but with this set, you're given a blue medium missile for a Decepticon? Blue hasn't even been used as a TF projectile color yet. Very peculiar... Anyways, aside from me just being picky about missile-matching (as usual ), it shows that these sets have some flaws... though not terrible ones. Maybe they were viewed as imperfect, and therefore sent to the discount stores to clear out the stock of these error sets? That's my only guess for now.

In the starter set look at the booklet that comes with. For the checklist both SW and TF have them listed as series 1 (I did not open the Marvel set yet). And the pictures inside are not congruent to the website listings, missiles in the book and force blast on the web.
My guess it that Tuesday Morning and Big Lots are the next stores, they all carry the same products. Tuesday's has all the SW titanium figures for like under $10 right now.
