Let me just say this, either you switch body parts of differnt figures really well, or you paint really well. Although I've never heard of Geer Rommon, he seems great. Love the storyline!

A little bit of both, depending on the figure. In this case, it was just switching parts and painting the hat to match.

It's a very nice custom but I think that it looks boring compared to a lot of your other customs. It's still a very nice job though.

Maybe today's update will make you feel better - it's got mix and match parts, LOTS of sanding, a good amount of painting, AND uses an item that wasn't originally Attacktix in it... Who is it? Well, that's the thing - he's just an unnamed-as-of-yet Bounty Hunter. Part/Paint Breakdown (there's a reason I'm putting this first...) - Head: GR6 Abigor Left arm: starter Ghost Rider (unpainted) Right arm: SW(4) Starter Han, painted flat black Torso: SW(4)19 Chewbacca, painted Flat Black and Dark Tan Legs: Prodder Wolverine, painted Flat Black Belt: G.I. Joe Valor Vs. Venom Baroness. Chest of a Wookie, Mutant's Legs, Belt of a Cobra, Vengence's glove, head of Wind... Sounds like a bad recipe from some kind of spell book, but in actuality it's a list of bits and pieces that I had in my parts bin that had been tried and rejected for idea after idea... finally, I just gave up and combined them. The fur from the Chewbacca chest was sanded down, as were Wolverine's distinctive boots, then I painted the parts and put them together. Interestingly enough, the G.I. Joe belt and Chewbacca's bandolier matched perfectly in color and were thus left unpainted.

I always appreciate the detail you give about the paints, parts, and techniques you use in creating your customs. Thanks for sharing them - and even this "leftover" Franken-custom looks great! Here's a random "Star wars name generator"

Dak Gnutgar - Hunter of Bounties. Sounds Star Warsie.... ;D For some reason, that makes me think of "Jak and Daxter"... I always appreciate the detail you give about the paints, parts, and techniques you use in creating your customs. Thanks for sharing them - and even this "leftover" Franken-custom looks great! Here's a random "Star wars name generator" Interesting, I'm gonna have to remember that site... But getting me to talk about my projects - paints, inspirations, characterization, techniques, etc. - is easy.... It's getting me to shut up that's the hard part. ;D

Yeah, I really like the effort you put into it! I think you did great.
I've only customized a few things and most have just been a paint job. I made an elite trooper from a biker scout and a shadow trooper from a stormtrooper. The only work I've done was making a canon pack for my Omega Supreme. Its main function was so I could add weight to the back to get it to fall over.
Anyway, nice job with the customs!

This one is much better, although Abigor's face gives me nightmares it still looks good, good mix of parts.

Yeah, I know - Abigor always seems to look like he's constipated... Today's update is another 'leftovers' custom, this time a member of my Attacktix Third Army - a Sandtrooper Veteran (though to give him a bit of additional personality, he's sometimes referred to as Sgt. Korwin Vosh.) For many Imperial Stormtroopers, Sandtrooper duty is an exile, considered one step above being removed from the Stormtrooper Corps (which usually means the subject is terminated). For others, like Sandtrooper Korwin Vosh, they've become accustomed to their situation to the point of making the most of it, often going native, such as in Sgt. Vosh's case. This Sandtrooper Veteran has painted his Sandtrooper armor a desert Dark Tan and over it wears a robe, sleeveless but otherwise in the style of the Tusken Raiders on Tatooine, also a Dark Tan, allowing him to blend into the sands he's assigned to and helping to keep him alive longer while other Sandtroopers stand out and get shot down in their vibrant white armor. In this case, the leftover parts were the Sandtrooper head from my Stormtrooper Sniper custom, a pair of P02 Clone Trooper arms from my Clone Recon custom, and some Tusken parts. The idea that I had in using them was, as my... bio, I guess, for the figure discribes, of a Sandtrooper who had been stationed on Tatooine or some other desert planet for so long that he had begun to go native, adopting some of the techniques and garb of the locals - in a way like Lawrence of Arabia during WWI. It's a little difficult to see, but I painted the boot black and went over them with Leather and dabbed some Leather in the 'holes' of the robe, then wiped away the excess to produce a worn effect on his garments. Also hard to see in the pictures is that I went over the gun with a very light coat of Dark Tan to produce a weathered look like the weapon had been through sandstorms and such. Part/Paint Breakdown: Head: Sandtrooper, painted Dark Tan Torso: Tusken Warlord, painted Dark Tan with Flat Black pouch belts and Neutral Grey scarf. Arms: P02 Clone Trooper, armor painted Dark Tan, bodysuit painted Flat Black. Legs: Tusken Sniper, painted Dark Tan with a Leather wipe, pouch belt painted Flat Black, boots painted Flat Black with a coat of Leather over that. Insignia: The left shoulder insignia is that of the Third Army, using Chevy Engine Red, True Blue Pearl and Light Grey. The insignia on the right shoulder is the 69th Infantry Division, painted using Chevy Engine Red and True Blue Pearl.

I don't really like this one, because the legs just don't go with the sandtrooper armor.

I actually disagree with Pac-man. the legs just set the tone for the sand like setting!
