When I was working on Charger, I created a design that I like enough to keep even though it didn't fit the character. It took a little extra work and some parts scrounging, but I used it to create a generic Rodian JediNothing special, just a Rodian member of the Jedi Order. Head: Starter Greedo Torso: SVT Luke, robe painted Tamiya Khaki, trim painted Olive Drab, 'undershirt' painted Flat Black Left Arm: Endor Luke, arm and hand painted Flat Black, robe sleeve painted Tamiya Khaki. Right Arm: SVT Luke, hand/glove painted Flat Black, robe sleeve painted Tamiya Khaki, Lightsaber blade painted Tamiya Sky. (Which, interestingly, is more of a green than a sky blue...) Legs: SVT Luke, Robe painted Tamiya Khaki, pants painted Flat Black, boots painted Leather.

Megas - they vary between overly powerful (Wampa, Jabba, Boga, Gunship) and over-sized targets (AT-RT, Omega Supreme, Omega Sentinel), are not legal in tournaments... And are fun as the devil in for-fun games. My personal favorites at the moment happen to be an SW4 Gunship I got on clearance and the three SVT AT-RTs from the Intergalactic Showdown sets I snagged some months back. One of my habits is that I divide my figures into 'squads' - not Attacktix match squads, but things like Clone Trooper squad, Scout squad (Biker Scouts and Scout Troopers), Sandtrooper Squad, Stormtrooper Squad, etx. - well, when I do that, I try to pick a figure, usually one of my customs, to designate as a 'squad leader'. For the squad leader of my three AT-RTs, I took it upon myself to create a Command AT-RT and it's rider. The first thing I did was to seperate the pilot figure from the AT-RT itself so that I could paint them both without either getting in the way of the other. Then I sanded down the raised piece on the back of the AT-RT. The body of the AT-RT got painted Panzer Schwartzgrau (Dark grey) with the Olive Drab I use for Third Army, then I picked out the 'detail' parts I wanted to use from my container of them and painted them like I wanted - Barrel, storage case, pack with gun and grenades, communications array and a holomap - before gluing them to the finished vehicle. For the driver, I turned to the Wookiepedia entry ( AT-RT Driver) as a refence and painted the figure to match, then added Third Army insignia on the left shoulderpad and a blank Armored Division symbol on the right shoulderpad - blank because it has no division number or anything. The final step was just to set the AT-RT Driver back on his Recon Transport, didn't even bother to glue him back down, an added bonus to see him go flying when the AT-RT is killed in a match. Parts/Paint Breakdown; AT-RT - Main body painted using Testors Modelmaster Panzer Schwartzgrau with Olive Drab details. Barrel attached to the back painted Gunmetal with Leather straps. Pack was painted Leather, with gun painted Gunmetal and grenades painted Panzer Olivgrun. Storage case on the left side was painted Panzer Schwartzgrau to match the AT-RT, then the eagle on it was painted Olive Green. Communications array was also painted Panzer Schwartzgrau with Pactra Gold Pearl for the antenna. Barrel, communications array, storage case and pack all came from a Warhammer 40,000 model kit... A Leman Russ, I believe... 'Holomap' is painted Panzer Schwartzgrau around the edges with the hologram part painted using Pactra Clear Green and is made from the window of an old hamster playset... AT-RT Driver - Arm and Leg armor and lower helmet painted Dark Tan, torso armor and upper helmet painted Olive Drab. Bodysuit painted Flat Black. Belt, Boots and helmet details painted Light Grey. Third Army insigna painted using Pactra Basic Blue, Modelmasters Chevy Engine Red and Light Grey. Armor insignia painted using Flat Black (for the outline), Modelmasters Chevy Engine Red, and Pactra Basic Blue and Basic Yellow.

Sometimes, a custom can be inspired by the most mundane things, in this case, a night sky inspired a camoflauge scheme for a custom Night-Camo Biker Scout. The bodysuit was painted Olive Drab, then I took Panzer Schwartzgrau (like I had used on the Command AT-RT) and painted the body armor. The next step was to take Pactra Basic Black and paint the cloud-inspired dark streaks. Modelmaster Aircraft Grey was used for the star-like dots of lighter color. I then took Pactra Basic Green and painted the visor. To make it darker, I painted the Third Army insignia with Pactra Basic Blue, Basic Red and Modelmaster Aircraft Grey. First Infantry Division insignia was painted with Modelmaster Olive Drab and Pactra Basic Red. Parts; All: SW(4)01 Biker Scout

Congrats on the Top 3 Topics, and I have to admit, these are the best customs I've seen anywhere! +1 Karma!

Eh, I just like to think of meself as a collector's worst nightmare - someone with too much time and paint on his hands who uses it to devalue Attacktix figures.

I am all for generic Jedi but there are so many cool Rodian Jedi (I just looked at Wikipedia to find out) I would name him Twool starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Rodian

This is what happens when I start small and no one keeps me from expanding upon whatever I'm doing. It was just supposed to be testing my new Tamiya Pink by using it as a Lightsaber color, instead it became Cupid LukeLike I said, all I was planning to do was paint a Lightsaber pink... then I ended up painting Luke's bodysuit white for no real reason. By the same respect, the poncho got painted a nice purple just because I hadn't gotten to use that color yet. By that time, this poor Endor Luke was starting to look like a St. Valentine's Day party had exploded all over him with the pink, white and purple, so I caved in and added some red on the boots, belt and helmet... Parts/Paint Breakdown - Figure: SW(4) Endor Luke Head: helmet painted Light Grey with Chevy Engine Red details. Torso: Poncho painted Pactra Grape Pearl Arms: Poncho painted Pactra Grape Pearl, bodysuit painted Modelmaster Light Grey. Lightsaber blade painted Tamiya Pink. Legs: Belt and Boots painted Modelmaster Chevy Engine Red, Poncho painted Pactra Grape Pearl, bodysuit painted Modelmaster Light Grey.
