No release date or pics yet...lets keep our fingers crossed that we will get some information some time this summer during the con season.

At the Con, in the Hasbro meeting, they announced that SW series 5 will be released in the Fall, so I'm hoping to see Marvel at the same time.

Yeah they are supposed to come out in the fall. Also, if they are releasing Star Wars Series 5 in the Fall, then I am worried that there have been no series, not even intergalactic packs, but I just need to keep my fingers crossed.

Just think about how awesome it is going to be to go to the store this fall and pick between, Marvel, Starwars, and Transformers Attacktix!

Don't know if anyone has seen the article at this address: www.icv2.com/articles/home/9111.htmlSays Marvel will come out in November and will continue with some Spiderman 3 products.

Cool find 'icecold'. That Spiderman 3 Tourney set sounds awesome. And I just noticed something (might be old news) but that Spidey striker (click the pic in the article) is an Avenger!

"In general, Hasbro is planning on packaging more of its Attacktix products in open packaging, as opposed to blind packaging. Ghost Rider, for example, will have a Battle Master set of the character and the motorcycle, plus a Starter Set, tied to the movie release in February, and no boosters." -Link 2 posts up
That's really exciting. No more guessing. But I fear many packs will not be sold.

That example is somewhat confusing... because Battle Masters and Starter Sets are already in open packaging.
I think maybe what that means is that we'll see more open package items (like the Spiderman 3 Tournament Set) but I can't imagine they'll do away with the blind boosters. Because you're right, their sales would go way down. Just look at all the 3 3/4" SW figures that don't sell until they are marked way down on clearance. They can hardly keep Attacktix on the shelves right now as it is, I don't expect they'll have open packed boosters in the future.

Other than the open packaging (which I really hope that Attacktix keeps a booster format), I was interested to find that Wizards of the Coast would be taking control of the Attacktix line. This seems better because now hobby and comic shops might carry Attacktix instead of just Target and Wal-Mart.

That would be an interesting move. I know at one point Hasbro bought Wizards of the Coast, not sure if they still own them or not. The other strange part about that is that Wizards already has the Star Wars miniatures game. Wizards takeing over, or getting involved with, Attacktix doesnt make alot of sense to me.
