I just cant express my disappointment enough about transform being a renamed recruit. Transforming is what makes a transformer, and it should be conveyed properly. I really feel they dropped the ball on what should have been a special that set transformers apart from the rest of the crowd, in a competitive way. I agree. I mean, I don't mind the renaming of Force Push/Thunderclap to be appropriate for the universe, but if you're going to have a special power that is the defining mechanic of a universe (i.e., TRANSFORM!), it really should be something unique and...well, special. A power with a generic name like Recruit has no business being renamed in the first place - only universe-specific special power names should be renamed across licenses, like the aforementioned Force Push/Thunderclap. Recruit is a basic power that goes across Star Wars and Marvel licenses; why couldn't it be included in the Transformers universe, too? That would make Transform be something special, like what malform's proposed.

Rodimus and Scourge both have Recruit(Trooper) and Dirtboss has Recruit(Decepticon). I believe one of the two Megas has Recruit(Autobot) as well. It makes Transform as they have it even more ridiculous.

We talked about using a house rule to redefine the Transform power before, but I have a wording for it I like, so I'll share it here:
Super Optimus Prime(example) Transform: Replace this figure with Super Optimus Prime(truck)
Its simple, and it has a vastly different meaning than the original wording. It says replace instead of put into play, meaning that the new figure would come into play where the first figure fell, instead of at the starting line. Also it has no mention of your backups. You put the truck into play from anywhere. Combined with the use of the word replace, the original robot would go to the same place the truck was before, which was nowhere. The meaning of this is that the truck and the robot are the same figure. The power doesn't involve backups or the defeated pile, thanks to the two modes being considered the same figure.
This isn't that gamebreaking, since all of the robots have low success rates for Transform, and it really gives Transformers something special compared to Marvel and Star Wars that they just don't have at present.

That's a great idea, but I think that could be interpreted by some to be that you can replace it with the truck from your Defeated Area(making it like Rescue in SOP's place), elsewhere on the gameplay area(making it like a defeat-less Sacrifice, which seems too unlike transforming), or even from outside the game(i.e. figures "removed from play" by Mystique's Effect, or Vanquish, which defeats their purpose). Therefore, I think that it should say "Replace this figure with Super Optimus Prime Vehicle Mode from outside of play.", or something along those lines.
