Landmine.
1. His power is triple shootback(Minicons). Multiple Attackback/Shootbacks are the most powerful offensive special powers in the game. Its a bit below 50%, but all powers like this are either at or a little below 50%. It is shootback, and it is for three 10pt troopers, but three free attacks are still three free attacks. This going off can win a lot of games.
2. Its a solid figure on its own. It has a large base and an energy absorbing sculpt. Its a prodder so there are no multiple kills, but it can still kill anything it can reach. 10 speed is adequate for a striker.
3. Its parter in crime, the Minicon, is a surprisingly effective trooper. The Minicon, like the other 10pt Transformer launchers, tend to have among the most powerful small missile launchers in the game. Despite the small missile, the Minicon is far from harmless. On top of this, the Minicon has an absolutely fantastic sculpt. The Minicon is short and heavy with a lot of angles to deflect shots away, and even though it has a small base and can't tripod, just doesn't seem to go down when its supposed to. Its power, though it comes up rarely, affects both Landmine and other Minicons.
4. There is room for expansion with Landmine, as there are hundreds of Minicons in the Transformers universe, and they could add any number of new Minicons to Attacktix. Some of them could even be strikers!

I must say I havent really given landmine any kind of chance. Mostly because he is a prodder, and I just dont like prodders. But you raise some very interesting points, and I think I will have to put him in some sort of rotation.

100pt team:
2x Landmine 4x Minicon
150 pt team 3x Landmine 6x Minicon
200pt team
3x Landmine 6x Minicon 2x S4 starter Han Solo--(to be more dangerous than minicons, recovers with Landmines) 1x Jedi Knight(to round out a four figure formation with the three Landmines)

I'm a fan of Landmine, even if my jedi toss technique with him was determined to be illegal

I have to say mini-cons rank up there. My nephew has a ton of them and I dread when he brakes them out. They have a good special when it hits and his all shoot very hard. It also seems to me that they are very hard to knock down with a shooter from 5 or more clicks away. Thats just my opinion.

#1 underrated TF for me is Crumplezone. Since his arm-gauntlet-blade-thing is not very long(and is wider), it's not too good for multiple knockdowns, but he's easier to have up against a flat part of a figure, and is often very effective when going for just 1 figure. He can even consistently take out Super Optimus Prime Robot Mode, even from the front!

I agree with Malform, Crumplezone is hard to justify for 30pts. His power isn't that great, and even with Crumplezone in play Ransack isn't a great figure.
I consider myself a competent striker, and Crumplezone despite a lot of practice is still the only striker I regularly miss with. That alone makes me call Crumplezone a bad figure.

hmm I found Crumplezone to be nearly effective as my Vader 16 (though I do have to be more careful to line him up), I can knock opponents almost 10 inches away, but I did wish his base were larger, and not 30 points.

WOW... I really just dont know what to say about that statement... It just seems wrong in so many ways. To compare crumplezone with his tiny little striker arm and his nearly useless wing thing, to what is most likely the best and most powerful striker in the game period...... Its just flabbergasting. Its almost like saying that a grievous body guard is nearly on par with a jedi knight.

I'm a big fan of this very combo...both Landmine is a solid fig, and the Mini-Cons are great troopers...in fact I think they were the focus of my TF gunslinging team.

Having just one Crumplezone open I cannot comment on them generally, mine has an exceptional spring, which from what I've read probably isn't the norm. He's the only figure I have that comes close to Vader's power (on the strike), but with his wing being so small he does have to be aimed very carefully. I wish he were a 20 pt figure with a better base, I think he'd be a more usable figure with that configuration.

You may in fact have a crumplezone that is a freak of nature or something. I have 2 of them and they strike about like a royal guard. But yeah, I certainly think dropping his price to 20 could make him much more competitive. Although I still doubt I would like him at just the price drop. His striker arm should be distorted out of proportion allot more to give him a better striking surface. I think that would go a long way.

Yeah it would be nice if the wing was bigger too...wow...Royal Guard...wow ok I got very lucky then because mine is a good hard and fast swing. I occasionally play him with Ransack if my son uses a Mega, but the team is hard to keep on the board as Ransack topples so easily.
