I've been following the progress of this Transformers movie for about a year or so. It's the real deal.

I played it three times and it made me motion sick! scratch the above...for me it played as a audio file and did all these crazy psychodelic color wheel things. apparently, that is not the video according to joe.

Yeah, I believe it is divx encoded. If you dont have divx, it wont play for you.

The peices are coming together...
First: DreamWorks/Paramount Pictures is in final talks with Shia LaBeouf to star in the big screen adaptation of TRANSFORMERS.
Shia is rumored to be playing 'Spike'
Then: Ethan Phillips (Neelix) will play a role in Transformers: The Movie, which is being helmed by Phillips' director from The Island, Michael Bay.
The German Star Trek site TrekZone announced the news about the film, which is being produced by Steven Spielberg.
The film, which is expected to be released in 2007 according to the Internet Movie Database, is being written by John Rogers, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman from a story by Tom DeSanto. Kurtzman and Orci also worked with Bay on The Island.
Phillips is the first actor to be announced for the Transformers film, a live-action version of the TV series about an alien race of robots who land on Earth. In addition to The Island, Bay directed the two Bad Boys films, Pearl Harbor and the giant comet disaster flick Armageddon.

It sounds like they are going to focus on about 10 transformers total in this movie, probably five good, five bad, but focusing in on the main characters...anyway, it sounds like this will be generation 1 stuff if it focuses on the Witwickies (sp?)...I'm actually sort of geeked about it.

I linked this video before, but I think allot of people were unable to view it, due to its divix encoding. A couple of weeks ago I took my phone and recorded it so I could send it to someone, then I thought, I could upload it so maybe a few more people could see it. The quality has been greatly reduced, and playing it on the computer seems to speed it up a bit. But you get the idea. Its a very neat video, but it really has nothing to do with the movie that will be released next year. s23.photobucket.com/albums/b365/malform/?action=view¤t=OPTIMUS_LARGE.flv

Funny story.
So, I was at the comic con last year an they had this huge 18 wheeler parked inside. My friend saw some middle aged man who was amazed at how they got optimus prime in the building. My friend decided to mess with this guy, he pretended he was talking to somebody and said "Yeah, the 18 wheeler is going to transform into Optimus Prime tomorrow at noon". The uber nerd flipped out. Then my friend felt bad because that guy would have probably waited for hours to see an 18 wheeler stand still, so he told him the truth.
