I have just started with this site and from what I looked at can kinda confirm that you don't have to be a "geek" to enjoy attacktix or anything Star Wars related at all. I am kinda obsessed with Star Wars and can admit that i can be considered a geek, am I alone?

I don't think I'm a geek ... but, then again, I suspect that, in most cases, geekiness is not something that can be self-assessed---many geeks probably think that they're not.
I also think that there are two classifications of geeks:
(1) There are the brilliant computer programmer types (the earlier definition of geek, also known as a computer nerd),
(2) then there are those that live in an alternate reality and have difficulties relating to people in normal, social settings (many professors would fit here, it's just that their "alternate realities" are ancient history, Shakespeare, or physics rather than Star Wars or Lord of the Rings ... writers probably fit here too, it's just that they create their own alternate realities).
I definitely don't fit in the first category, but there are times when I probably fit into the second one.
Regarding Star Wars-related geekiness, here's my favorite quote, which appears in my book Finding God in a Galaxy Far Far Away: "Why is it that people who analyze and study Star Wars are called loser-geeks with no life while people who analyze and study Shakespeare are called educated scholars? And don't tell me to get a life, or I'll tell you to get an imagination."

I'm kind of a computer geek, but more of a "study-Star Wars-to-out-smart-my-friends-or-I-wil-cry-and-run-to-my-mother-whom-I-live-with-even-though-I-am-47-years-old" geek. Oh, and I am totally going to buy your book MasterTiMothee. And I agree with that quote!

Well, it's simple. dictionary.com says this: geek n. Slang A person regarded as foolish, inept, or clumsy. A person who is single-minded or accomplished in scientific or technical pursuits but is felt to be socially inept. A carnival performer whose show consists of bizarre acts, such as biting the head off a live chicken. nerd also nurd (nûrd) n. Slang A foolish, inept, or unattractive person. A person who is single-minded or accomplished in scientific or technical pursuits but is felt to be socially inept. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Perhaps after Nerd, a character in If I Ran the Zoo, by Theodor Seuss Geisel.] There you go. I even have aquix for you to tell if you are a geek, nerd, or a dork. www.okcupid.com/tests/take?testid=9935030990046738815

--------
To play off boba's idea- i think that all people admitting to be a geek should somehow clearly express it, any ideas?
--------Maybe something easy to start would simply be to add some icon to your signature to start with this website?

Though I somewhat look like a geek and have to live the "if you have glasses, you're a geek" stereotype, All it really takes to convince people that you're not a geek is basketball skills, which I have. Also, I only do 'geeky' stuff like attacktix at home and would never talk much about it at school.
