I have 3 questions . 1.Where did the new starters come from!!!!!!! How come there on ebay and random places? What I mean is how did people get them if not sold? ? Well the Marvel 2, Star Wars 5, and Transformers 2 Starter sets were found at closeout retailers that bought up leftover stock from Hasbro on the cheap. Its a fairly common practice that "rare" or "unreleased" stuff shows up at Marshall's, TJ Maxx, Ross's etc.. So while they were not sold at Walmart or Target, they were still sold. 2. Why not released If people have em why not sellem? ? People are selling them, I have a loose Set of Marvel 2 That arent doing anything for me. I'd be glad to sell them. 3. I saw the series 3 transformers and started thinking, THEY ALREADY MADE SERIES 3 AND THEY CAN'T MAKE SERIES 2?!?!?!?! That is all . Well Here is the info as best as I was told, it may not be 100% but seems possible. Series 1 TF was going to be 30ish figures, all based on the Unicron Trilogy. Series 2 Was going to be 30ish Figures of all G1 figures. But then it was decided to slice the Series 1 and series 2, and make 3 series out of the 2 they had. And Series 1 became the set we know, series 2 would be the left overs of Series 1 and part of the old series 2, and Series 3 would be the rest of the G1 Series two. I'm working hard to track down the Series 3 Transformers. Its been hard to find some of the New Mold Series 2 stuff, I'm still 5ish or so short at this point. Arcee Soundwave Jet Starscream Prowl I've think I've secured Grimlock, and already have Bumblebee and Whirl, and Strongarm on the way. I'll gladly repaint series 1 figures as their series 2 buddies. Now to track down a Gam Guard and Kit Fisto Series 5, And I'll be complete on that side.

For number 2 I meant why not HASBRO sell em? A very good question indeed. As I understand it the Marvel and TF lines didn't sell as well and they decided to pull the plug. Others may have more detailed information.

But Hasbro Did Sell them... TJ Maxx didnt go steal them from the Hasbro Factory. Hasbro Produced them, Hasbro Sold them to the only retailers that would take them, and thats pretty much it.
HasbroToyShop was offered Starters, and declined to sell them, seeing as how they had a crap load of other Attacktix stuff at the time. They still have stuff for sell, and the line has been dead for years.
Case in Point: Hasbrotoyshop still has 776 Marvel Boosters in stock... The line has been dead for years, and numerous times HTS has dropped the price to less than 2 dollars a booster PLUS free Shipping.
I dont think there is a collector more interested in the Unreleased stuff than me, but I totally get why HTS didnt take on the risk with the last 3 starters.
That being said I still need a TF2 starter and Wampa Box set, my deal fell through. Ha
