I recently stumbled upon my attacktix, got friends over, played, etc.
so I remembered this website and decided to come on it.
one of my friends asked me who was the best shooter, so I wanted to ask you guys.
I personally think it's venom, because the one i have is extremely powerful.
it seems like anything in the way gets destroyed.
it actually took the head off of a jedi knight from about a foot and a half away.
( I wanna know what you guys think based on shooting ability and shooting strength, not including abilities)

Well, that's tricky when it comes to shooters. Missile/spring strength seems to vary so much even when talking about one kind of figure. For example, a friend of mine had a Magneto that was completely unreliable and could barely stay loaded, but mine doesn't have that problem and packs quite a punch. You'd kinda have to look at the figure overall to determine the best shooter. Venom has a nice size missile, he's short and sturdy and that's not even mentioning that amazing power. I'm not sure about the best, but I say he's easily above many others.

One word: Venom.
Some others are good, and I myself prefer strikers, but Venom for Cost, Power, and Special would rank tops for me.

Based just on shooting ability, my picks are Magneto, Green Goblin, and New Goblin.
I keep stats on my games, and Green Goblin gets a knock down on almost 80% of his shots. Being able to take him off the base and angle him, particularly to get a good shot at an opponent's base is awesome.

This one's easy for me - Venom. That dude is the only fig who causes more complaints from my opponent (How many times have I heard "That's not fair" whenever I place Venom on the board!). Not only does he pack a mean punch, but he's incredibly difficult to take down with a shooter. Many-a-game I've played where Venom was my last fig standing and making a mess out of the remainder of my opponent's team. I think he's perhaps Hasbro's toughest Attacktix figure - I regret I have only one of them!

So are we basing this off of which is the best shooter as in overall figure, or just packs the best punch? Overall figure, you have to go with the ones ConaChris mentioned. Venom is excellent, but Goblin/New Goblin gets overlooked as easily being one of the most versital figures ever. If you're basing it purely on shooting power, I'd have to say there's several. O.P. comes quickly to mind with that moose bullet of his. Grievous, Magneto, and practically any force blaster are powerful shooters as well. That's why I bought 10 of him. Yeah, you read right.

Yeah, I was basing my decision on overall performance (knock down power + survivability). Venom takes my first spot for that one - he is almost always my last one standing whenever I play him, and he is capable of taking down any figure left standing on the other side.
If I was basing my decision on simple shooting power, I'd have to go with either O.P. or Grievous. Both of these figs are simply devastating. Unfortunately, they don't have the survivability of Venom.
For some reason, my Goblin and New Goblin are very weak. They have no punch at all. And they can be taken out fairly easily.
