LarimusPrime just pointed out to me that www.attacktix.com has recently become defunct. The url now redirects you to a page of Attacktix search results within Hasbro's main site. The page is riddled with dead end links. It does, however, look like you're still able to download the screen saver and wallpapers for the time being.

A source of mine just told me he has been sitting on over 3000 Attacktix Figures for awhile now, and he doesnt think he'll ever be able to move them. He wants less than 2 bucks each shipped from China.
I guess Attacktix for the most part is 1000% dead. Hopefully The extras from the purchase by Myself and that one guy can be sold to help recoup the cost.

I'm not making too much of it. The website was a joke anyways. Not that Attacktix are ever going to be released again. I'm just saying the site was never updated and proved to be unreliable anyways.
I'll be curious if Radar can nab another interview with Brian this Comic Con.
Like I said several times in the past. If they do it right, I have no problem waiting.
@butters What series are these figures your contact has? Are they unreleased stuff?

The Source that has over 3k Figures, he wont provide any photos, and is not giving me any real info. A standard Somewhat Shifty Dealer move. I'm gonna guess He has mostly stuff that is not desirable. The Guy with the Production SW5 etc He has the payment for the big lot of test shots, and Hopefully Later Tonight or morrow or the Next day I'll have the Tracking number for it. Last package I had come EMS from China got here in like 5 days, so I'm fairly excited about what Next week may hold.

You know I kind of saw this coming. I was about to post that I knew that I had given up hope, this pretty much confirms that it is all done. I will still play with and keep my old figs, and try to make Tixcon if there is one this year. Wilks will probably confirm this at Comic Con. So unfortunate. R.I.P. Attacktix

What!?!? How could you say such a thing about a site that hosted the invaluable "Ask the Expert" section? ;D I'm not too broken up about it either, I just consider it a sign that Hasbro is making a conscious step to distance itself from Attacktix... for now anyways. Attacktix Relaunch: 2010 - Be there!

Shame Hasbro ended this of line and let stuff like Bakugun take over that market.

What I find amazing is that even after being jerked around like we have, we still like to come on here and check in. We're such a loyal group that it's too bad Hasbro cancelled something that brought all of us together. Shame that we don't get most of the crew on here like we used to. Attacktix in 2010? Sure, I'll belive it. Why not?

There's always Comic Con 2009 and Toy Fair 2010! Hey how 'bout some good speculating... What if they closed down the website to the public because they are creating a new one for a relaunch? Fingers crossed...

Fingers crossed... That actually crossed my mind. I don't think it's likely given with how lame the site was to begin with. However, I don't agree that Hasbro is seperating itself from Attacktix. We WILL see these again at some point in time. When I see Mad Balls, Smurfs, and Crossbows and Catapults released from when I was a kid, then I know it's never over. Never forget that it took around 2 years for Galactic Heroes to make a return from their respected "hiatus". Look where they are now.

...perhaps they took it down for a completely new re-launch....ehhh? 2010 right? I think we will be lucky to get our hands on some unofficial SW5, M2, and TF2. Maybe the random custom here and there, but what frustrates me is the number of kids who could be playing this game. It was never about "us" or "the forum" to me. There are probably hundreds of thousands if not a couple million kids that got a starter set at some point who wont have the opportunity to collect more figures.
The Attacktix.com site is still owned by Hasbro (who amongst us would buy it otherwise?) it still links to their site which must mean they care at least a little, hopefully a lot.
Maybe with some luck there will be some Attacktix figures in Toy Story 3 and kids will want them again. Maybe with a whole lot of luck.
I'll be going to the Comic Con again this year (next month). I'll see what I can find.
