Oh, I agree. At this point, I'm quite certain that we won't be seeing anything new. Ummm... so which is it. If we won't be seeing anything new I'd say that qualifies as "dead" Series 1 was mediocre and series 2 was even worse. Series 2 was worse? How can we judge a series that was never actually released? There could have been some amazing figures/specials, etc. in that set. I think he means of the 4 Series 2 TF to actually make it out of the pit of doom known as Hasbro. Re-reading his post thats what I think he means. Hasbro should have been smarter to have went with the G1 Series figures first, and then do the ArmadaVerse, or at least half and half. I did buy my fair share of TF1 Boosters, even though I didnt much care for the media/toyline they were based on. If they had slipped in just a couple of G1 TFS, I totally would have bought at least another 10 boosters. Attacktix from a retail standpoint is fairly Dead. I still see Plenty of product at stores, but its nothing worth writing home about. SWvsTF boxes, Spider-man 3 box. Some of the last wave of boosters. Some starters, even some battle masters. I think Attacktix has already had its "rabbit out of the hat" moment, when the SW5, TF2, and M2 starters showed up at closeout. About the Monsters: those appear to be very very early, almost like hand casted. So I'd say the numbers of each is less than 20 more than likely. The retail product (if there was ever going to be any) would have been a more simple paint scheme, similar to what we got on most figures.

Then I hate you ;D I'm sure I'll be able to scrounge them up. And it appears that Torch's missile was the only unique, so I need one of those to make some dupes of it...

If series 1 had been primarily G1 I might have strongly considered breaking my Star Wars only oath. Out of the protos that have popped up on ebay in the last year or so I really (really, really, really) regret not getting the Gamorian Guard!

There could have been some amazing figures/specials, etc. in that set. Thanks, A.M. and Butterscotch, you both hit the nail on the head. Trust me, there's only a few others who possibly want to see Attacktix continue more so than I do. So, when I say what I say, it's dead, it's my way of not getting my hopes up to high. I still try to remain as optimistic as I can, but reality bites me every now and then. So, right now I think they are dead. Though, I hope I'm wrong. In the future I believe we'll see them again. I just don't think it's anytime soon that's all. S2 Transformers were listed at Attacktix.com. There's not really much there to get me excited with the exception of a few. Starscream with transform would have been great, but oh well. I understand that they could possibly be a little different from what they have listed on the site. Is Torches bullet transparent? It looks to be in the Toy Fair picture.

And he actually fits in Poppa Rancor's mouth!

Those Monster Attacktix are among the coolest protos I've seen! If anyone knows any more about them, please post! Judging from the paint jobs on them, however, I don't think they intended to seriously release them. The Monster paint jobs are far superior to any Attacktix produced, and more akin to an artistic collectors item. I agree, AWOL, something about them is very eye catching. I think I know why they went that route - no licensing fees to be paid to Lucas , Marvel, etc. especially if they were "proof of principle".

Did you guys read the article talking about some "fantasy" attacktix possibly being made? Wouldn't it be interesting if Star Wars, Transformers, and Marvel all get pushed aside for something more along the lines of "fantasy" type? Wouldn't it be real interesting if those shown are actually the prototypes made AFTER they had alreay commited to Star Wars Attacktix? This leads me to a question. If you purchase a license from either Lucasfilm or Marvel, can you make whatever you want under that license? For instance. Star Wars has the 3 1/2" figures, galactic heroes, and unleashed. Do you have to pay a seperate licensing fee for each of those?

I dont think a Company is really allowed to make whatever they want. It has to be approved. But I imagine Marvel and Lucas are fairly open to what they will allow idea wise, such as the Transformer Crossovers.
