My kids were watching Episode 4 yesterday, and got to the scene where Chewbacca and R2 are playing that hologram chess type game. My daughter (age 6) says, "Look! They're playing Attacktix!" I love it!! ;D

I wasn't sure where to post this, so I'll put it here: My kids were watching Episode 4 yesterday, and got to the scene where Chewbacca and R2 are playing that hologram chess type game. My daughter (age 6) says, "Look! They're playing Attacktix!" Oh...my...goodness. How could they ever confuse that inferior HoloChess game with Attacktix? ;D Seriously, though, that's dang cute. I'll have to tell my wife about this, as she always likes cute kid stories.

My name is Matt. 25 Years old. I live North of Chicago. I'm married, trying to get the wife to play, she's agreed, but with 9 cats and two dogs we're having a little trouble with logistics. That hasn't stopped my booster buying though. Attactix are PlastiCrack. Someday maybe I can actually, dare I say it, PLAY THE GAME!

My kids beat me for the first time today. They play on a team, 100 points a piece, and I get 150. We rotate turns, both of them go, and then I go. The first game went down to the wire, all I had left was a clone trooper, and my daughter had Plo Koon. There was a raucous celebration as the trooper brought down PK from at least 10 tix away. Game two ended as my daughter's Palpatine blasted my last wookiee commando. The rest of the wookiee squad was a dismal failure, but this guy took about five direct hits to the chest before he went down. (Insert wookiee yell here) I won handily in game three, but it was a great time in all. It was by far our longest gaming session, I think we may have gone close to two hours. We finally got Commander Gree, and I think he may be pushing GG for the title of Best Shooter. My six year old daughter is LETHAL with him!!! And yes, way back when someone talked about teaching the kids formations. They're finally getting the hang of it

My name is Wes, (father of 1 son, 9 years old) and I live in Fort Collins Co. I am the Executive Officer of the Mountain Garrison (www.mg501.com) from the 501st Legion of Stormtroopers (www.501st.com). My son and I love the Attacktix game... It is nice because there are so many things that we can do but all of them I always have an advantage at, but with this the playing field is almost leveled. Every time we play he learns a new tactic or idea, so we really get into it. My son's favorite thing to do is play the Master battles with all 60 of the figures. Of course the field is a little bit bigger (5'x4') but alot of fun. I wish we could do more quick matches, but there is no way we could handle picking only a few of the figures.
BTW, has anyone noticed a reasent shortage of attacktix? I can't find them anywhere anymore. Wal Mart had a million of them and then one day they were all gone.
It's nice to meet everyone and I hope that I can connect with a few guys to trade for the 4 that we still have left to trade. ;D
Thanks.

My name is Charles and I'm fom KY. My roommate and I saw Attacktix on the shelf, and just broke down and picked up a booster one night at like, 4am. I'm hooked. I have noticed that most of the stores in town, Meijer, Walmart, etc...are sold out, maybe a few pieces left. We have 2 wargame type stores in town, but they had never heard of them...they kept trying to sell me the miniatures game...apparently their distributors aren't carrying it. I thought it odd.

I bet the kids were soooooooo pumped they beat you. ;D That's the worst part, they were only mildly enthused... not nearly excited as I was when I managed to win the tie breaker. Whenever they lose a figure, they regularly say, "That's okay, I don't care. It's just a game." (And they MEAN it!) I've got to figure out where they're getting that from.

Yiminy...whose genes did they get?
Or better yet, how can we study your kids to bottle whatever calmness they've got and give 'em to the kids who can't play well with others? ;D

We have a pretty active stormtrooper garrison group here in Tampa. They do a lot of great charity work. Kudos to you! I think those groups are pretty neat. ;D

My name is Russell. I'm 23 years old. I thought I would buy a starter set and take it to my friends house for Magic (the gathering) night. But I realized that it came with an odd number of figures so I bought a booster to make it fair...it was all down hill after that.
I work around kids all day. I work in an arcade and I help out in a youth group., it's cool. I'm working on my degree so that I can become a HS math teacher. I like kids.
I went to San Diego Comic Con and "won" a silver clone troop. My buddy lost too and he gave me his silver Shaak Ti. I am now determined to collect the rest. (Maybe even win!)
I'm weaning myself off of Magic and this attacktix is growing more addicting. I find myself being more inclined to use Sith; and if given the opportunity...would probably turn to the dark side. -Radar
