I figured this would be an interesting, but possibly one-sided, poll.
Which of the three ten-point Recruit figures is best?
Battle Droid has an 8% chance of bringing in two Battle Droids.
Insecticon has a 15% chance of bringing in another Insecticon.
Green Clone has a ??% (I assume 15% but if anyone could correct me) of bringing in another clone trooper.
Breaking this down, a team of 10 Battle Droids has an 80% chance of bringing in two more of themselves. EDIT: I've been informed that the true chance of activation would be 57%. Thanks Yaggleberry
Insecticon and Green Clone, on the other hand, have a 150% chance of bringing in one copy of themselves. EDIT: Thanks (again) to Yaggleberry Finn, I can fix these statistics as well, you actually have an 81% chance of activation.
I personally think the Green Clone Trooper is best. Even though it only brings in one copy, it has a better chance of doing so than the Battle Droid. I don't have the Insecticon so I can't speak on this.

You missed one. The Jawa is a 10pt figure with recruit, and correct me if I'm wrong, but can it recruit the Jawa(figure) or Jawa(faction). If its the second, than the Jawa can recruit the Jawa Warlord.
As far as the voting is concerned, can't vote for anything but Transformers, so...
Insecticon.

What is the green clone trooper with the recruit power? Is that the one that's now appearing in the Series 4 starter set?

Dang it, I knew I'd forgotten a figure and turned out to be that darned Jawa! Well, if you WOULD have voted Jawa, just post that in here. Stupid me, now I must go iron my hands for my insolence.

These statistical numbers are inaccurate; the % is not cumulative. If you have 1 or one million battle droids (or anything, but for this explanation I'll use BDs) the % is still 8%. And for my response, I say the Battle Droids are still the best not only because they bring back 2 of their own kind, they work brilliantly with other Droid Army figures.

The chance for any one of the Battle Droids will always be 8%, but there is a cumulative effect for having more of them in play. A while back I had to call a friend of mine who is a math prof here at the university to help me out with this one, but I finally understand how to figure these percentages properly. Anyway, if you're using 10 Battle Droids, there is a 57% chance that at least one of them will be white. With any of the 4/26 (15%) Recruit figures, there is an 81% chance that at least one of them will be white.

I haven't used the new clone, but i pretty sure I'd still answer Battle Droid, beside their power they are a pretty good for a 10pt launcher, and superflytnt is right they work well as an addition to any droid army team.

If you have 10 battle droids you are increasing your chance of geeting a white special window. You get the chance of 8% 10 times... The only time I ever see them come up white is when they are in groups of 5 or more. Ive seen them pop up white 3 times with 10 of them. Sweet.... Yaggs figured out the math.

So I can't do fancy percentage math yet. Sue me . Thanks for the input guys, and major thanks to Yaggleberry for the percentage correction.

LOL - I actually am fairly decent in math, and there is an advantage for having more, threoretically. The fact is that, like you said, there is an 8% chance, 10 times, not an 80% chance each time. Due to the randomness of the wheel, and the variables of the movement rate, starting points, and distance moved each turn I think it's safe to say that there is a higher probability that one of the lil 'battlers will turn up due to the fact that you've got a 4/26 chance to hit white 10 times per game. This is notwithstanding that if you DO get lucky, 2 more BDs come in and add to your chances further. Either way, battle droids rock the casbah!

I posted really close to the time Yaggleberry posted, came back saw malforms post and started working up the same thing Yaggleberry did, then I got called away for a long meeting... turns out to be pointless but seems like a waste not to post it now, hears my equation:
A battle droid has 1/13 (2/26) chance of turning up white, so it has a 12/13 chance of being black, which is what I'll use to do the math. For 1: (12/13)1 = 121 /131 = 12/13 1 − 12/13 = 1/13 ≈ .08 = 8%
For 10: (12/13)10 = 1210 /1310 = 61917364224/137858491849 1 − 61917364224/137858491849 = 75941127625/137858491849 ≈ .55 = 55%
This can be used for any probability and any number of figs.
