In the tournament I'm running on September 23, we are having a side 100 point game with one team building rule: you may not use more than one of any figure. That means one figure of the same series/number (4-11) but not the same name (you could use several different Darth Vaders). All non-Mega figures are eligible. I'm pretty big on strategy and finding the "best" teams and figures in the game, but I thought this was a pretty challenging idea. And as I made teams out of the figures I had, I don't think I came up with one that was the clear cut number one. So I'm just curious what team you all would use and then see if there turns out to be any kind of group concensus.

Personally I am a fan of strikers so the first team that comes to mind is: 1-30 Yoda (30) 2-1 Jedi Knight (10) 2-22 Tion Medon (20) 2-27 Kit Fisto (20) G-2 Ki-Adi-Mundi (20) They all seem to work well together. But if your lookin for some power houses: 1-30 Yoda (30) 4-11 Darth Vader (40) 4-16 Grand Moff Tarkin (20) 4-22 Greedo (10) Big bases and 2 big shots. There are plenty of options but those are my suggestions for now.

S1 Grievous (30) S2 Grievous (20) S1 Grievous Bodyguard (10) S2 Grievous Bodyguard (10) Gold Nute Gunray (30)
or the best Droid army no repeats team possible
S1 Tournament Silver Grievous (20) S2 Grievous (20) S1 Grievous Bodyguard (10) S2 Grievous Bodyguard (10) Gold Nute Gunray (30) R2-Q5 (10)

I like that Grievous team, but I would go with....
Jedi Knight Ewok Tuskin Raider Tournament Clone trooper (he moves 8, I love that little guy) Greeto Grand Moff Tarkin Super Optimus Prime (Truck)
Gold Super Optimus Prime (Robot) in back-up.

I say that the two best 100 point squads are:
2-38 Obi Wan (30) 2-1 Jedi Knight (10) 2-22 Tion Medon (20) G-2 Ki-Adi-Mundi (20) 2-1 Battle Droid (10) 2-36 YellowClone Trooper (10) Backups = S1 Grievous Shooter (30) and 2 Battle Droids (10 each)
-OR- S2 Grievous Shooter (30) BD Commander (20) S2 Greevy BG (10) Anakin S1 Force Blaster (40) Backups= Droideka (40) and S1 Grievous Shooter (30)

Mine is some Decepticons:
Scorponok (30) Ransack (20) Battle Ravage (20) Dirt Boss (30) Back-ups=Insecticon (10) and Megatron (40)
Scorponok (30) and Ransack (20) pack a punch. Battle Ravage (20) is a good striker. Dirt Boss (30) can bring either Back-Up and Scorponok (30) can bring in the Insecticon (10)
