I've been playing about a month now, and I'm surprised how many figures I had to fix:
Yoda--I traded my nephew for a broken Yoda. The peg on his hand was whole and unbroken, so it just popped back in and is fine
S4 Gold Luke--Like a lot of people, mine came with a weak strike. As per the striker repair thread, some WD-40 made things a lot better
Battle Ravage--One of my five Battle Ravages came with a weak strike. Again, WD-40 made things better.
S4 Endor Luke--His cloak gets in the way of his swing. I've already shaved quite a bit of it off, which has improved things slightly. I'm probably going to cut and file some more off before I'm done.
S4 Armored Vader--the catch on Vader's swing broke and he could turn 360 degrees. Again, thanks to the striker repair thread, I was able to fix this good as new.
I never would have guessed how high maintenance this game is.

Wow, I must be really lucky then. The only figures of mine that have busted are: A.) Starter General Grievous (Missile got stuck inside and while getting it out I broke the firing mechanism) B.) Count Dooku (Hand flew off but now he's fixed) C.) Jedi Knight (Traded for him knowing he was busted, that way I could custom him. Apparently the spring was non-existant) D.) Tarfull (Traded for him, again knowing he was busted. He rotates 360 degrees. Will probably attempt a fix)
Besides that, all I've had are a couple that needed WD-40. I think one of the reasons I've been lucky in my year of playing is because I'm VERY careful with my figures due to money constraints. Having no constant source of income means that I generally only get figures in two large bursts, my birthday and Christmas which causes me to value every figure I have. This forces me to play very conservatively with my strikers. While I might not be nearly as good at getting multi-kills, I've yet to bust a single striker besides Dooku.

The Tarfull fix is easier than you would think. I think the Wookies are a little harder to pop back on, but the rotating 360 degrees fix is less scary than it sounds.

The best way to fix dead high-value strikers it to have a nice sharp chisel; pull the leg half from the top half, then use the chisel to split their top (GINGERLY). Use a 5/16 drill bit and drill out the bottom half of the spring. Kill a cheapie figure you don't need (jedi knights are the best) and get his spring. Use Loctite 2-part epoxy (5-min quick set p/n 01-81501, can get anywhere, costs about 4$) and mix it with a toothpick. Reinstall the spring, and clamp his top half back together. Sets overnight and he's good to go!

Thankfully I've only had to fix my Striker Grievous and Old Ben... though I'm thinking of giving my wickets a little fix after a weak strike against Vader lost me the game.

I have had to fix my s1 chrome clone seargent, because he came of his base, a little super glue fixed that. My series 4 leigh's string fell off, and that is just a huge hassle, and it is like half fixed...

You can fix that with glue as well - just run the string thru the launcher, tie a knot behind the stopper, and glue it - it'll never come off.

Wow, I've never had to fix a single figure yet! They've been smacked, dropped, tossed, and used extensively without a wear or tear in any of them. Of course, if I end up with a broken one in a booster, I throw it out and get another.

I've been lucky with my figs...I think I had a Royal Guard once that needed work, and someone took him in a trade so they could tackle fixing him. Had a Clone Trooper that needed his gun glued back on, but he went to the "littlest 'tixer" instead...she has a bunch of guys that were working perfectly well, until I removed their guns.
