In Attacktix, per the rules, you can use any character in any multiple you like. The same is true of Attacktix, but not of the Star Wars Miniatures game. Despite the rule that allows you to play whatever you want, do you usually find yourself building squads with at most one of any 'unqiue" character, or do you play multiples of any figure that works well on your team.
(A unique character would be someone like Obi-Wan Kenobi or Darth Vader, a non-unique character would be a Tusken Sniper or Stormtrooper.)

I avoid using multiple uniques (of the same personality) within a team. And in mine and Attacktixrulz's tournament games, it is forbidden to use multiple uniques.

I don't like having more than one unique figure on my teams. It kinda takes away from the whole game. But that's just my opinion.
Maybe a 150 pt team made of all 5 Darth Vaders. That would be awkward...

Only one unique in our games too. We've never fully said "okay no more than 1 darth vader" but it has always been kinda of a silent rule thing.

Hard and fast ONE unique per game, and ONLY one of each in our 'playable' collection.

I use multiples of uniques if it suits me.... 2 bobas and a bossk+ a scout trooper can be annoying as can be 3 ggs and battle droid.

I like a 5 chewbacca team. I have no problem with it. 3 Yoda's and a yellow clone trooper team is fun too. Different Obi-Wans are fun to play an all Obi team. I'm looking forward to a 10 Greeto team. I have no issues with multiple characters. As long as people are having fun, it's cool by me.

I nearly always play with multiples of the unique figures, especially the more powerful ones. Series 3 Luke, Series 3 Leia, Armored Vader, Series 2 Starter Kenobi, any General Grievous...
We've never played with only one unique character, that would certainly change my strategies. But it would also get me to use some of the figures that I never play with.

I am extremely anal about this---and I totally admit it.
My preference is no more than one of a given character on the board at the same time, and each person's team must be completely good or completely evil (clones and Anakin may be placed on either side, because in the overall arc of the movies they serve both sides).
However, my spouse frequently---and I think she does this just to mess with my sanity---plays an all Obi-Wan team when we play 150-point games (it's something like Boga, Kicker Kenobi, Geriatric Kenobi, Series 1 Starter Kenobi, with another Starter Kenobi in bakcups to replace Boga). This is really annoying, to tell you the truth. She defeated me with this team last night. That made it even worse.
In truth, we usually just laugh about it---it doesn't cause any marital stress. But I really do prefer only one of a given character on the board at any given time.

I guess the way that I rationalize playing multiple unique characters (most often now, two Starter 2 Kenobis and 4 Utapau Clone Troopers) is by conceptualizing their presence as representing the Force speed that my favorite characters would exhibit on the battlefield. Thus, Kenobi could attack so quickly that it would appear as if he had a double on the field! Of course, this problem is obviated with the 10-point Jedi Knight platoon

Only one unique for the games I usually play, combining both teams. If my opponent and I both want to use the same unique, we'll come up with different ways to decide who gets to use it....ususally we grind the 'tix to see who gets a white, then that person plays with the unique and the other person doesn't.

I personally couldn't stand to have more than 1 of any unique figure on my team, however, I am also not twisted enought to try and wreak the mental havoc caused by being attacking my opponent with an "all Vader team" or an "all Grievous team". The worst, I think, would be the "all kicking Obi Wan team" though I have no particular reasons for this. The image just strikes fear in me.

I have used 3 different Chewbaccas... but I voted "never" because I really have only done it once... maybe twice.

The worst, I think, would be the "all kicking Obi Wan team" though I have no particular reasons for this. The image just strikes fear in me. From the perspective of one having to face such a team, the idea of potentially being felled by what amounts to a Kenobi chorus line, a set of Obi-Wan Rockettes, would be disturbing. From the perspective of fielding such a team, having five special powers that stink with a relatively impotent attack would be the source of my fear.
