Here's an idea that was kind of spawned from the thread on the House Rule Die Rolls, but I decided to create a new thread since my idea doesn't involve any dice..
Here's a different way of playing Attacktix that emphasizes making each hit count for something. What you need first is different colored post-its, preferrably yellow and red (or pink/purple). Cut post-its into strips so that the strips are small enough to fit onto the base of your figures (perhaps flat between your figures' feet).
When a figure is hit, and it does NOT topple, then apply the following rules:
If the hit was only a glancing hit and did not move or jitter the figure, no effect.
If the hit pushed back the figure from its original position or caused it to swivel/rotate, or caused it to shake or teeter, then apply a yellow slice of Post-it on the figure's base.
If a figure with a yellow base is hit again no matter how insignificantly it affected the figure (and the figure is not toppled of course), then apply a red slice of Post-it on the figure's base.
Any figure with a red slice of Post-it on it is severely wounded and can only move half its move. Also, any figure with a red Post-it on it will be automatically defeated if struck again (whether it is toppled or not).
With this idea, a figure can potentially be defeated without toppling it. And this way of playing would allow for enhanced abilities of your medic droid, such as if the medic droid's base touches the base of one your figures that bears a Post-it, the medic droid can decrease the severity of the Post-it from red to yellow, or from yellow to fully revived.
What do you all think???
