Quick question.
Does the new R2 unit count as a turn (attack) when you push the button to see how many turns (attacks) you get?

I 99% sure this has already been discussed but I cant seem to find the thread.
R2d2 and the medic droid do not attack. They have something new to attacktix called "effects".
Quotes taken direct from the series 2 starter guide:
"An effect is a power that's active the entire time the figure is in play. Using effects is optional, but you may do so at the beginning of your turn."
"Remember: Effects are active the entire time the figure is in play, so you can decide to use them on your turn if you wish. You may have multiples of the same effect figure, but you may only use one of the same effect per turn."

I don't believe that R2 counts as an attack. Take this for an example (R2 DOES count as an attack in this example)... If you spin a '3' on R2 you'd then have to subtract 1 for R2's 'attack'. You'd end up with 2 attacks, the number you would have normally. So spinning R2 would be a waste of time. I don't think they would produce a figure that would end up being pointless from time to time(no bail or padme jokes people )

Yup, no attack. I believe the rule book says you MUST use the spinner or dial BEFORE your begin your turn. SO BEFORE move and attack, so it can't be either.
It is an effect, and looks like the new order of turn goes.
Effect, Move, Attack.

I tried a game and we saved our effects, it was pretty fun. I got like 5 free move and attacks for tarful in one turn!

Huh? What do you mean, "saved your effects?" It sounds like you're talking about special powers, which cannot be saved at all, per Hasbro's rules.

Hasbro rules? Oh yea, like starting the game in formations? Hey now, I acknowledge that particular house rule of mine is at odds with Hasbro's preferred setup I still like the idea of either a) starting in formation or b) having a first turn movement-only phase, as was mentioned before about having been adopted into Heroclix.

Didn't know where else to post this, this thread looks appropriate.
Had a weird situation come up the other night. I had someone take out my S2 Bossk and my Yoda in one attack. Both Yoda and Bossk were white. So what do you do? Do you remove the figure that attacked Yoda, or do you capture the figure that defeated Bossk? Or do you capture the figure that defeated Bossk and then promptly remove your own figure?
(For the record, we grinded a figure and let the red/black window decide which power activated - it was Yoda. Doh!)

I remember this being an issue before in our games. Here's HASBRO's official word:
Q: If I kill multiple figures in one shot or strike, who decides the order of special power activation? A: The person whose figures were knocked over decides the order of special power activation. [HASBRO]
I liked the way you handled it though.

I remember that ruling from Hasbro, but does that ruling also allow you to IGNORE special powers? Because regardless of the order of the powers, Yoda is still going to be taking that figure out of the game.
I know there's been a lot of talk about whether or not special powers are mandatory, I don't know what the final word was on that.
