quick question
when your special ability comes into play, does it activate there and then even if its your opponents turn (referring to the free move and attack or attack especially) or do you have to "save" it for when its your turn next/
thanks in advance

Yes, right then it activates. Nice, eh?

Yeah, there's no saving it up for a rainy day. Which makes for some good strategy, if you know your opponent's special powers and when they may not work...

I think we probably played it right, but I'm going to ask anyway. Shaak Ti is your last figure left on the board. She is defeated, but her special power is activated. You do bring Ki-Adi-Mundi into play from your backups, correct?
We figured that if you had to have someone else left on the board, then it would be worded like Plo Koon's special instead.

Correct! Shaak-Ti's death would NOT end the game in this scenario!
This is why Phoenix loves her!

Ok, the way I've always played is that once you have the number of points the battle is worth (i.e. 100-, 200-, or 500-point battles) in the defeated area, you lose. For example, if your only remaining figure is a battle droid, and you have 90 points in the defeated area, then even if the battle droid's special power window is white, you'd still lose. Also, a quick question; If a special power calls for a free move and attack for a figure, can it be returned to play from the defeated area. This has probably already been asked, but I'm new here, and the Hasbro rules were full of holes. Thanks!

No, this rule will only work if the figure has been put into play (either from the beginning, or due to a special power) and is STILL in play (not defeated or removed from battle.)

My roommate has pulled the Shaak-Ti into KAM, KAM into Shaak-Ti combo FIVE times in a row. I was pulling my hair out!

It's crazy because the odds for that happening are not very high, but my daughter did that against me three times in a row. And yet I often manage to get a black for my starter ObiWan.

Perhaps I'm just far more dense than I originally anticipated, but I have to ask just to clear this up. Your Shaak Ti dies, and you bring in Ki Adi Mundi, but when he dies, he goes into the defeated area. You'd have to have a different Ki Adi Mundi in backup to use another Shaak Ti's special power? Or can you constantly trade Shaak Ti and Ki Adi Mundi from defeated area to area of play?
Pardon my stupidity, Dark08

Some people may play with combined defeated/backups.
Or of course, they could have multiple Kis in backup. As usual House Rules rule.

If more than one figure dies at the same time, who decides what order the abilities take place in? -Radar

I think it if two fighres are lost at the same time then its up to the person who lost them to decide as to which special goes into effect first. But then again, what do I know?

I say that the attacker gets to determine the order. I know we've had this discussion before; I'll try to find the thread and repost it here. ETA: D'oh! The discussion was on the above-cited thread. Take a look at the second page of posts.
