I am probably wishing more than really "reading" but I think it says it all right here:
“We are particularly pleased with this arrangement as it fits strategically into our plan to continually develop our home-grown core brands while aligning ourselves selectively with the best licenses in the business,” Alfred J. Verrecchia, President and Chief Executive Officer of Hasbro, Inc. said.
Putting the best (outside) licenses with the best (Hasbro) products. What's a better match than Marvel Attacktix?
Marvel Transformers... I guess. But they already have something like that. And I don't think the Hulk riding a Sunshine My Little Pony is the market they want to capture.
My fingers are crossed.
Oh yeah, plenty of figures for more than just a few series: "Hasbro Awarded Five-Year Strategic License to Marvel’s Library of Over 5,000 Characters"

Thanks for the news Brett! Sounds promising....
Since I'm an action-figure collector I'd heard about the the Hasbro/Marvel deal and knew it might spell a new Attacktix line...glad to see others are thinking along the same lines.

Just how cool would marvel attacktix be?
I like to sit around and dream up what figures there could be. I would love to see a hulk mega, a sentinel mega, an apocalypse mega, I would love to see the brood in any sort of form... I guess there could be a whole brood faction, but they would all look the same :\
I dont know, I could go on but to put it in a much shorter manor. I would love to see any and all marvel comic universe characters turned into attacktix figures.

Brood could be like Tuskens and vary in their attacks. I am glad we saw a Kicking Obi, that means we can see a Punching, Web Ball Shooting, Web/Net Shooting AND Kicking Spider-Man. Let's face it, we know we will see a "few" different versions of him. Even COSMIC Spider-Man. With all the new "Prodder" attack types, every character has an attack option. Punching and kicking for the brutes. We have Force Blast-type attacks for he mentals and energy powered. And shooters for the gun-users, and events for the handicaps Punching Hulk Ice Blast Ice Man - by far my MOST anticipatedRifle Punisher Event Prof. X Net, Punch and Kick Spider-Man But, just like anything else. If we are thinking of it, Hasbro will probably already be desiging it!

This is a huge deal for Hasbro.
Attacktix or not we are probably going to see some awesome new Marvel toys.

I had heard of the Marvel/Hasbro deal over on HCRealms.com, but I had initially dismissed the concept of Marvel Attacktix, basically because of the existence of Marvel HeroClix. I'm interested to see how this plays out, as I'd love to know the details of the agreement, especially if it allows Hasbro to make a competing game to HeroClix.

This is just a guess, but I believe HeroClix are NOT considered action figures. Which is how they got a license to make them, when ToyBiz was the exclusive action figure maker.
Now, Clix is probably a miniature game. Because Tix actually MOVE - making them action figures - I think they will not be categorized as a miniature game. Take them off the black bases and they are basically deformed action figures!
Since Clix exists, along with Marvel Dice, and Marvel magnet games and other mini-Marvel figures, there is obviously no EXCLUSIVE gaming deal with WizKids.
I think it has a lot to do with the definition of an action figure (Battle Figure Game) vs a non-moving miniature or statue. ToyBiz was making THEIR Battling Action Figure game (which sucked) while still allowing the Clix license so I only have HIGH hopes!

Sounds cool, I never got too much into Marvel except for cyclops (and Biclops, the Simpsons/lenscrafters super hero). But I wonder how this will all play out. It would seem that Hasbro is too busy making motorcycle riding, luke, darth and boba to be able to get new attacktix series out on time.
Maybe these will sell so well, it will give the whole attacktix group of lines a boost and everything will be better.

Yeah, but only if you want a big Force Blast coming out of his bald head!
I know he can control people, but he just sits and thinks... I agree he COULD shoot things, but there would be no way to implement that into a figure (a Head Spring would be ridiculous) So since he is in a wheelchair, I figure it's easy to add a spinner in there. Maybe limit the Brotherhood's movement.
So, anyway, that's just MY opinion. I just don't remember any comics that he "aims" his hands to control a person. Effects can be JUST as powerful as actual attacks.. Think about it.
Oh yeah, and speaking of head springs, how will the EVER make a Cyclops?

I got two Megas in mind: Ghost Rider on his Bike Sentinel
Unfortunately most of the "Strikers" are gonna have to have oversized hands because most of the superheroes/mutants don't cary weapons for close quarters combat.

Ohhhh, the possibilities! A Deadpool katana striker and Sub-machine Gun shooter...a Magneto shooter...and, perhaps my most anticipated, a Venom striker and shooter! Think of his massive black claws striking down wave after wave of foes...heh-heh-heh. I'm giddy with excitement!

The only problem is that there wouldn't be too many Troopers, I guess they could do some Brood or GRSO Soldiers, but it'd still be lacking in Troopers. Or they could do some of Sinister's InfiniteSoldiers,or Apocalypse's Prelates or something. Maybe there would be enough Troopers.
