I was thinking about other lines they could do and Nintendo would be the perfect fit. Bowser shooting fire, Link swinging a sword , that would be awesome.

At EB Games, I saw a Mech Warrior one that looks like Attacktix. With the spped thingy and the black base, but its made from someone else. this is cool ->

the mech warrior is more like a warhammer game complex.

LMAO! I don't think I'd go for anything other than Star Wars. Except maybe like LotR or something...

I imagine any other attacktix lines will be of brands Hasbro already owns. Transformers, G.I. Joe, etc.

I dont think we will ever see attacktix in GIJoe nor tranformers. they just dont work. sure the projectile aspect is there, but there just isnt an even mix of strikers that you have in SW. joes have a few ninja running around, but it's hardly an even mix.
and I agree, transformers kind of looses something when they dont transform.
OH! it doesnt work for all of them, but if you had your projectile blokes, and then instead of strikers you have figs that when you push down on them and release they zip forward on motorized wheels. counts as a move and an attack (battering ram style)
The best fit I can think of is LOTR cause you have plenty of archers and magic users for projectiles as well as catapults and such, and a ton of strikers as well... shame hasbro doesnt own those rights.

I'm still gunning for a Marvel and/or DC themed game, though since Marvel has a nasty knock-off game coming out involving shooting Hulk fists and card/dice play, I'd say that its a poor imitation. Maybe Hasbro can snag a DC license though!

Competition is never a bad thing, IMO. Although the Marvel game looks more complicated, look at the articulation and paint detail on some of those guys (Thing and Iron Man especially).
As far as other Attacktix...it really depends. I'm a SW nut as much or more than I am a game fan, so to buy the game regardless of who its based on, no, I couldn't do that.
GI Joe...it depends. If they did Duke and Snake Eyes, etc...I might say no! But if they did troops from real time periods...like WWII. Then hell yes I'd go for it!

Per the link Joe posted: toybiz.com/showbrand.htm?id=28Tool around there. This game appears to be very different than Attacktix, but maybe they can leanr from each other on stuff like making nice looking figures. Check out the Spiderman and Dr. Doom too. Apparantly, the shooter is removable. Also, if I read it correctly, only one figure per booster, and you know who you are getting.

Yeah the figs are regular 4" size and removable from the stand. So it's like getting a figure and a game.

Is there any Mike Resnick fans outhere. he created a universe that would make for an intersting attacktix theme.

Here's another gallery of some of the Marvel figs I ran across earlier: 69.93.119.2/photosSHTC/showgallery.php?cat=660Very impressive looking figures. Just not too sure about all the dice, cards, and other stuff piled on to what makes Attacktix so brilliant. We shall see, though - as you mentioned earlier, competition can only help Attacktix improve over time.
