Agreed. Also, I think that the introduction of R2-D2, the Medical Droid, and others with special die-rolling-like powers in Series 2 will make the demand for such things die down.

Yeah. Dice isn't so bad, in context of the game itself and in moderation. Heck, I already use a D100 to remedy two of my figures inability for their tix-white-bar not rolling!

True enough...unless you don't already have a die;) The closest thing I have is the multifaceted Scattergories die. And a D100?!?!?

For my figures whose inside tix doesn't count, I just use the D100 to determine a percentage roll based on the odds of their tix. For example, my Starter Vader's tix gets jammed after a few tix, so if he gets knocked out, I just roll a D100 and if I get 77(%) or less, which happen to be the odds that his white bar will reveal itself, I get to activate his power.
An unfortunate extra step, but better'n tossing the figure in the garbage, anyway.

Ahhh...very true. And also better than sending it back to Hasbro and having to hope and hope and hope and hope you actually get something similar in return. I just didn't know they made 100-sided dice. How big is that bugger?

'zactly!
Oh, sorry - I forgot not all are as nerdy as I am! While they do have actual 100 sided dice, and they are quite huge (a bit bigger'n a golf ball), I was talking about the "old school" D&D-style D100: 2 D10's, one acting as the 10's and one acting as the 1's.

Ahh...I get it now. For a moment, I was worried that a D100 might actually be big enough to bring down my Boga;) I wonder if a Boga flipping a real D100 could take down an entire army...

It's been about 20 years since I've seen one, but I'm guessing with the right rebound shot, you could pretty much decimate an army with it!
But not Boga, nothing can stop Boga!! ;D

Wow...now I see what you mean about a D100. That thing's enormous! Maybe for Series 3, they could have a balled-up Destroyer Droid that's just one of these, with the number signifying how many shots it gets (it is a Destroyer Droid, after all, isn't it?).

Yep, thats it! It's been ages since I've seen one. I remember most of all, beyond the behemoth size of it, was that no one was really sure what you rolled because of all the number faces beng so close together!

Why are they surrounded in a clear plastic shell? To protect the numbers?
Or is there a level-type bubble in there so you know what number is on the top? That would be a good idea.

wink wink nudge nudge hint hint. Whoa...are you coming on to me? But seriously, I'm not sure about the plastic bubble on the D100. The ones I remember from my youth didn't have those. Better weight distribution, maybe?

I dunno...the review on the site seemed to indicate that the plastic bubble cracks easily, leaving you "with a ball with numbers on it." I can see why those monstrosities passed out of RPGing pretty quickly, though. If nothing else, as you guys have said, it seems nearly impossible to tell precisely *what* face landed up. D20s seem to be large enough for these purposes;)
