Can anyone generalize on the different feel of say the difference between a 100 point game and a 300 point game? Do people stick with the 2 attack per turn rule, regardless of point cost of game?

Historically, I've stuck with the "2 attacks per turn" rule. However, my wife and I have stopped playing games larger than 150-160 points that way because it became too much a game of "fire into the crowd to try to scatter them enough to get one figure out in the open, then fire on that figure." Predictable and boring.
However, this was before I had a lot of strikers. I just got a bunch yesterday, and I'm going to play a big striker team against a big shooter team (my wife excels at shooting). We'll see how that goes. And if we keep bunching up, I'm gonna go to town with my new Boga:)
I guess it ultimately boils down to whether you want to play a quick skirmish without as much many tactical considerations (in which case, stick to 100 point games) or you instead want to play a longer battle, in which strategy plays a much greater role (in which case, at least 200 points seem necessary). Plus, if you want to play higher-point games, having massive amounts of troopers seems to be much more important.

I have only played 100 point games but that will change when I get battlemasters and more boosters.

We play BIG games almost all of the time. We're talking 500 points. At first we stayed with the two shot rule, now we play two shots per 100 points. It just speeds up the games and makes them more exciting. I'm army building AT RT's at the moment.

I'm gonna have to amend my previous comments pretty substantially. I think that large-point games got boring only because we had a ton of cannon fodder (i.e., 10-20 point non-name figures) all bunched up to keep the big-point guys from tottering. We got all too good at figuring out how to keep the figures bunched, so it would basically be a two-shot snoozefest. Maybe if we'd allowed 1-shot-per-50-Tix, it would have been better, as we'd have had more than just one shot to disperse the crowd.
However, our last 200-point series, where we used almost exclusively 30+ point figures, were quick and really exciting.

We play 300 pt games with 4 moves and 3 shots. To keep it fair, the AT-RT counts as 2 shots. 300 pts allows for a lot of diversity in teams.

we play epic battles at my haus covering all the floor lots of terrain, mazes, towers, walls.. 500-1000 pt games.. with 200-300 pt. back ups to speed things up a little and to make it slightly random we've added dice. 1D12 for how many players to move 1D6 for 'actions' firing, striking, possessing but we also have a captain at each end that when he gets knockd over the game is over.. most of the tym they are long battles at 4-5 hours but they could be short with the knock over rule.

We have been playing mostly 200 point games anymore. Works out nicely! Enough diversity on each team to really use some of the special powers. Many of our matches come down to a slug fest between Grieviuos or Vader, and Mace. Just the way it should be!

Mmmmmm...sweet slugfests. With either Vader or Mace, I like to keep a trooper or Jedi, respectively, at the other end of the table to allow the Recover power to kick in.

Same here. I use terrain when I play, if not simple terrain, but always always always send a trooper into hiding for a rainy day!

I've not used much terrain yet, but that's largely because I can't build paper TIE Fighters or TIE Bombers at a rate faster than 1 per hour. I'd love to construct a whole mess of 'em, then arrange them like a hangar bay. I could then have the Jedi storm the "super-secret" weapons development labs of the nascent Empire, which would be defended by all the requisite baddies.

Oh, heck, I would too. But in the meantime I just use whatever is handy at the time: magazines, my TV remote, a shoe - whatever throws a bit of spice into the game. My personal favorite is my 2 year olds 'Galactic Heroes' Millenium Falcon with R2 and 3PO standing outside of it.

My mind is now reeling about the possibility of my uber-Boga slipping its tail inside the shoe, the using it like a weapon of mass destruction...
