I'd agree heartily with this and add that even the starting positions you use for your figures mightily impacts your ability to execute a given gameplan. For example, if I'm playing a Hasbro-standard game, in which all figures start out on a line, I'll group all of my strikers together to form a striker group. I'll also group all of my cheap shooters together to form a back line and my Force blasters or large missile shooters to form a front line at the start of my first turn. I can then blast with impunity

Right!!!
I Always target Kolar and K.A.M. EARLY so that those fallen Jedi (Mace, Obi Wan, Shaak Ti), aren't coming back to haunt you again later!!!! They can be hard enough to kill the first time!
When going against Vader or Obi Striker take out those troops early so that they STAY down when you finally get them.
Don't mess with Grievous Body Guards until you get rid of General Heartburn first.
Make Dooku your last SITH target. Ect.. Ect..
My main strategies in any given game are always based on the special powers and figures selected. KNOW the Specials and Plan accordingly.
It also helps if you KNOW and can account for the statical probability of how often each comes into play. (Like Yoda Breaker does).

Well, for me, killing one of my Dookus is useless. I said ONE of my Dookus. Why? I'm building up this themed army, known as the striker army...and 50% is comprised of Dookus. How many? I have 7 dookus, perfect for a 150 point game. I move them all in a flank, interweaving their sabers, and since all are sith, if there are white, they come back like zombies.
Just a thought.

I've got the same number of Dookus; you'll have to be careful to recall that Dooku will only pop up 3/10 of the time he's knocked down, and to break up the striker group when you come into range of a group of your opponent's figures (lest you have all of your light Dookus struck down by a remaining striker!).

my fav strategy is to place a trooper of somesort or two behind my ATRT where they are pretty much safe. that way, i can use my darth vader to run around and take out key players and rest assured that if he gets taken out, i have the trooper safely guarded to "revive" him with his power. i love that power, it hasnt let me down yet. the only bad thing about this plan is that once my ATRT got taken down with one hit, and it fell back and knocked down one of the troopers behind him. needless to say, i wasnt a happy camper when that happened.

"Don't be too proud of this technological terror you've constructed. The ability to shoot 4 missiles in one turn is insignificant next to the power of a well-placed strike!" - Darth Vader, EpIV
I very much enjoy taking AT-RTs down with one strike, including any figures behind it.

I like to attack my enemy on their light side so when the bullet or saber hits, the other side heavier and it falls over easier than if i would have hit it on it's on it's heavy side. So, if I attack an SBD, I would attack it's right arm since its arm is lighter than it's gun so I like to take advantage of my enemies position.I also like to use force blast Anakin to shoot over my forces and land right in the middle of the enemy. Its like mobile artillery star wars style since the wave is bigger than a blaster bullet.

I did some "play testing" with an all battle droid 100 point army. I must say I was pretty surprised. 10 battle droids is much better than 2, I can tell you that right now. Four things come to mind that makes an all battle droid army a reason to consider.
#1 The only time I have seen their special power come up is when there are 10 of them on the table. I guess your just 10 times as likely to get it.
#2 They are a bit harder to knock down when grouped tight in a formation.
#3 You will almost defiantly outnumber your enemy.
#4 Everyone is expendable. Go ahead and kill your opponents yoda, who cares if you loose one of your many battle droids.
I guess the lesson is that battle droids are really meant to be in numbers.

For as much as I like the Dark Lord of the Sith, I just can't figure out why some one would play with him in a 100 point game. I figure that since he costs 40, that means that you should use either 6 Clones or six battle droids. Or maybe 2 armored vaders and 2 of the troops mentioned above. Anybody got any good Vader strategies? -Radar

Let's see with my clone obi army I send out bly and obi and leave the troopers in the back and sergent. Obi dies, sack a trooper, obi dies again, sack a trooper, then I send sergent and get him killed bring back the troopers and do it all over again.
But with jedi I just crowd them around a boga and slowly move in. A clump of jedi is fatal.

Yeah dooku, A. vader, agen and 2 bds... basicaly run vader in and dooku near agen if vader dies KILL your own agen to get him bak... its a gamble but it normaly pays off.
uhhh unless u use gen greiv or a strong striker.

If by "normally pays off," you mean "pays off more than 50% of the time," I'd have to disagree, as Agen Kolar's special power comes up only 38% of the time.
