Hi new member here. I've always been a fan of the show Firefly and recently decided to create figures in a game for them. While deciding which game I would use, at first I decided on Herocilx but when I went to the game store I saw a few young kids playing with star wars Attacktix and knew I had to use this game. At first I will be listing digital concept pictures of the figures and their formulas. First up is Captain Malcolm Reynolds of the Firefly-class ship, Serenity. This figure uses a basic s3 Han solo and a Ghost Rider Blackheart. I picked these two figures because they pretty much screamed Firefly to me and they also came in some boosters I picked up at the gaming store's bargain bin. I used Han Solo's head and blaster. Mixed with a little repaint I think it does the job. BTW... I used this pic as the base, but added a "browncoat" that Capt. Malcolm is known to wear. I plan to create the following figures: Serenity -Malcolm Reynolds -Jayne Cobb -Zoe Washburne -Wash -Kaylee Frye -Inara Serra -Shepherd Book -River Tam -Simon Tam Alliance -Lawrence Dobson -Blue Glove #1 -Blue Glove #2 -The Operative -Alliance Trooper Bounty Hunters -Jubal Early Criminals -Badger -Patience -Saffron Reavers -Reaver Cannibal -Reaver Warrior

Nice job! Don't forget to paint on a drop-leg pistol holster. That would look suhweet!

Next up is Serenity's grenade-loving mercenary himself, Jayne Cobb. This fig should be easy to make. It's just an Endor Scout with a S1 Obi-Wan head. A little soft modeling epoxy will have to be used to turn the scout's vest into a t-shirt, but not too much so as not to add extra weight. Here's the reference pic. I may actually not make the entire Criminals faction due to a lack of suitable formulas. So the updated roster is. Serenity - Malcolm Reynolds- Jayne Cobb-Zoe Washburne -Wash -Kaylee Frye -Inara Serra -Shepherd Book -River Tam -Simon Tam Alliance -Lawrence Dobson -Blue Glove #1 -Blue Glove #2 -The Operative -Alliance Trooper Bounty Hunters -Jubal Early Reavers -Reaver Cannibal -Reaver Warrior

Sorry double post, but they're hours apart. I've been looking at the list of Attacktix figs to find some decent women's bodies to use for customs, but it seems the list is pretty limited for now. Any fans of Firefly have suggestions for what female figs to use to make Zoe? I'd appreciate any help so I can finish the original 3:

Great job so far! I've gotta say though, there's no way Jayne is sporting that measly small gun - he should be toting General Grievous' gun! The hero of Canton definitely deserves better.
You're pretty limited on female figures, only Padme, Mystique and Elektra are going to give you any suitable custom fodder.

Well, that's not entirely true. Depends on the effort you wish to expend and the skill level. Any slim figure can be made into a skinny girl, and heavier girls can be made from many. I am thinking of making a girl striker from a Dooku or Agen due to the slim silhouette.
You can use sculpty, other air-dry modelling clays, or the best (thanks Dvandom) some milliput. Hair is made by rolling a bit into a flat, shaping it by hand, then putting lines into it (to give texture) with a toothpick, dental pick, or needle. Shaping the body involves sanding, filing, chiseling, or dremeling.

I would say try Padme's body with either Mystique or Elektra's head (ProbablyMystique's) and maybe Mystique's arms to get that 'bare forearm' look (Color the gloves fleshtone and the arms to match whatever color you use for the torso.)
