Hi, im looking into doing some converting and I have some questions for those out there whom have done this.
Notably - Arm, head and torso swaps: How do you do them?
I would assume you pry the figure apart at the seams but im uncertain of how successful this will be without causing damage.

im pretty sure if you want to use a striking figure you need to keep intack the model as the way it came at leastthe torso because thats where the spring is i think ud have to use model putty to make the fig look different but i havent done it before so i wouldnt know just a guess

Good point about the striking figures, thankfully almost all of my plans involve shooters.
Im also assuming that the limbs are connected by a 'T' Joint.

Yes, the limbs are T jointed in general. You can disassemble the torsos for work, but you need to be sure to glue them back together firmly. See Triton in my customs thread for an example of a disassembled/reassembled striker.
