Will Captain America live on if not in flesh, but in spirit? It is a sad day when even local news papers have only comic book characters and their demise to write about. I am not a reader of comic books, but it seems to be hitting those who are as a hard blow. So how will this affect the nation and the Marvel community? www.marvel.com/news/-1.1262

I think it gives a more human quality to superhero's, it says that they don't always win in the end, and are mortal. Though it is sad to see a beloved character to die, i think it was a necessary loss.

Eh, he'll be back by the end of the year. Major comic book characters like the Captain never permanently die. Ever. It breaks the laws of comic bookery. Either he comes back or he's replaced. However, there is no way that the Marvel Universe will be going Cap-less by the end of '08. Feel free to quote this post when I end up wrong .
