Hello, all.
I just discovered this excellent forum and would like to start off my membership with a couple of questions:
Can figures such as the Ghost Rider and Sandman megas make both their attacks on a given turn? Or must you choose to use one or the other?
Additionally, could Captain America fire his shield, then follow up with his striker attack on the same turn?
Thanks in advance for your help.

#1 Yes #2 Yes #3 Welcome! We're glad to have you! Please check in on the "Introduction" Thread under "Attacktix" and let everyone know you're here! Not mandatory, but people tend to listen more to those who introduce themselves. "Hi, I'm Jim, and I'm an Alcoholic" kinda thing.

I didn't know the Cap'n could fire his shield AND strike on the same turn...And here I was thinking he wasn't worth 40 points...

Thanks Superfly. Are those answers official (whatever that means , house rules, or educated guesses? I'd just like to know, since I expect to be be introducing the game to quite a few people within the next week or so.

My understanding is that these are Hasbro-sanctioned rules. Before asking any ?s about play, always refer to the "FAQ" thread...a lot of these are addressed here.
But, Welcome to the board, Zar!

Yes, it is "official"... Figures that are designed with more than on attack get the chance to use all of their attacks in one attack action. Really, would a destroyer droid be worth 40 points if you were only allowed to fire one of his guns?
AT-RT and omega sentinel get to fire all 4 of their missiles, and at any target you like (doesnt have to be a single target)... Likewise the republic gunship is allowed to fire its missile and transport a figure in a single attack action; and a striker launcher is allowed to fire its projectile, and strike at another target.

It's not the Star Wars shooters that give me pause, but rather the Marvel megas and Captain America. The rules regarding these matters--if they exist at all--are certainly not obvious or easy to find. Hence my questions.
For the record, I did review the FAQ but did not find that my specific questions were addressed.

For the record, I did review the FAQ but did not find that my specific questions were addressed. Yeah.... Hasbro hasnt exactly been the greatest at giving out great answers to simple game play questions. The only true official ruling we have that I am aware of in regards to figures that have multiple "actions" that count as one attack come from the AT-RT and gunship ruling. It was answered in a question to hasbro that the AT-RT is allowed to fire all its missiles in one attack, and at different targets. And the rules that come with the gunship state that it is allowed to launch its missile and transport in one attack action. So therefor by extension we arrive at the assumed conclusion that a destroyer droid is allowed to fire both missiles, and ghost rider and captain america are allowed to both launch and strike.

Does it matter what order you do them in? Say I moved four Tix, shot the missile, moved four more and struck a figure. Is that fair? Or do you have to shoot, then move and strike, or move and strike, then shoot?

Or do you have to shoot, then move and strike, or move and strike, then shoot? What you propose here brakes the most basic rule of the game. Step 1. You move all you figures (or as many as you want) Step 2. You attack You would move the Capn', and then shoot/strike, or strike/shoot..... There is no "move, attack, move, attack", ever. (the one exception to the rule being the "rage" effect possessed by the prodder wolverine)

Ah, this is not entirely true...there are attackbacks as well. Remember the sage wisdom of Ki-Adi-Mundi! On the last attack, hurl KAM at a group of enemies and have him pop up white - the attacker who killed KAM as well of two of his compatriots may move and attack (assuming they're Jedi). But...you know this. ;D

Thanks, fellas. These seem like fairly logical conclusions to me.
So I imagine a player would be able to postpone loading Captain America's shield until after making a strike attack. Even then, it will probably be difficult to get him into position to make both his attacks effective on the same turn--without breaking the "no moving after attacking" rule, of course.

Yeah Ive been outta it for a REALLY long time but I just got some marvels today (after getting lost for about an hour or so then locking my keys in the car ) anyways it was all worth cuz I got the Cap'n (plus three out of the ten figures I got were chrome ;D). So anyways I was playing my friends and we were using star wars/marvel teams and it got to the cap'n against fp mace and clone commander. Shooting the shield I missed but then we decided he could also strike on the same turn for the same attack, so I pulled him back, let him go and he sent his shield flying taking out the clone commander. (after that mace killed him but he was white so i got back up and trashed him)
