I'm working on my team for a game I'm playing on Saturday, and I was wondering: what other X-Men go good with Beast? So far, I have 7 Beasts, 2 Gambits, and 3 Wolverine Prodders.

...The only other X-Men figure released at the moment is the Striker Wolverine from the Starter set, the other X-Men figures won't be out until Marvel series two.

I may be wrong, but I think that Turbo meant the only X-Men figures BESIDES the ones mentioned in your original post (and the striker Wolvie, of course) won't be released until Series 2.

Ah. Yes, probably that. Sorry. Anyway, who would go nice with Beasty? I'm thinking Prodder Wolvie....

I like Gambit myself, Beast has a powerful strike for close ranged and Remy's packing a good sized missile for long-ranged attacks.
Prodder Logan just... ain't that good, in my opinion. Compared to Skyblast from Transformers or the Tusken Warlord from Star Wars, he's weak, even for a prodder...

I'd have to go with Gambit as well. Wolverine (either one) just comes up... short.
Get it?! SHORT!!
Aw, never mind.

Compared to Skyblast? Nah, I don't think he's THAT bad. Okay, I'll use Gambit. I like Wolverine for his Recover, and never really play with Shooters, although I'll give him a try. Thanks!

Well, Beast's Rally allows you to return an X-Man to play, and Gambit's Rescue allows you to return Gambit to play if you have another X-Man in play, so their specials can work off of each other if you choose to go that route.

The great thing about Attacktix is that you can just about create any team you want and still have fun playing. Keep your synergy in place and you can make all kinds of teams. Look over your figures. Beast works best with X-men. However, you can throw a Ghost Rider (vengence) into the mix if you want. Just use your imagination and have fun.

Personally, I'd go with either more Beasts or Prodder Wolverine over Gambit. As a massive Gambit fan, I'll have to go punish myself for saying that (think Dobby) but I have my reasons.
First, Gambit is very tipsy with or without missile. His defense is horrible if his arm is in parallel with the ground and is only mediocre if his hand is perpendicular with it.
Second, Gambit's blast isn't that great. It's okay but it just doesn't pack a ton of "umph". He is also a bit difficult to aim with due to the angle of his arm.
Third, Gambit's power is decent at best. A 38% chance of going back to the starting line with a low defense, hard to aim, low speed figure? Pfft.
Compare Gambit with Beast who has great defense, decent speed, a good strike (Wookie Backhand FTW), and a nearly 50/50 chance of bringing himself back from the dead. Even Prodder Wolverine is better. Higher speed, cheaper, decent defense, and an effect. Sure, his attack sucks but it does its job when he gets in range and even if he falls beforehand, his Recover power has a 50/50 shot at popping him back up where he fell so old Wolvie can keep on rolling.
So, in my opinion, here's what the X-Men team currently looks like:
Beast >>> Prodder Wolverine > Gambit >> Striker Wolverine
If I were you, I'd just run as many of your Beasts as you can, followed by as many of your prodder Wolverines as you can if you want an X-Men team or just splash in some other figures that work with Beast (Skywarp, Hoth Luke, S4 Vader, ARC Pilot). Your team should own everything in its path.

I wouldn't mess with any. I've tried several combinations and they generally fall short. I'd go with 3 Beasts and 2 Venom Spitters from the T-pack. That's about as deadly as they come.
