The Mystique Question thread got me thinking, we all now that the madder Hulk gets, the stronger he becomes. So I pose an interesting idea, try playing a game where Hulk gains power every time he recovers (like gaining 2 to speed wouldn't be bad). Let me know what you think or if you have any ideas to expand upon this idea.
After talking about it with Austin last night here's my new idea for the Hulk home game. First time recover add 4 to speed, I tried 2 but it just didn't make much of a difference, especially since he only gets up about twice if your lucky. Second time recover, Hulk gets to attack without using one of your two attacks every turn, kind of like Luke as Stormtrooper (without a Leia). You can also keep adding speed two him if you'd like, but >8 is pretty fast for a shooter/striker. I doubt he would stand up many more times then twice in one game. Let me know what you think.

Sounds fun! I think I'll try it in my game on Saturday.

That is pretty smart....hmm.....I think that should be an effect ha gets on the baxck of his base!!!
The only problem is that his special probably wont come up white too often maybe three times if your lucky......wel I guess My Wolverine's special did come up about four times in a game, but his stats on the whole special thing is different

That's a good idea. I never use Hulk solely because he sucks. This might encourage me to want actually use him.

If this rule applies for all your figures in play, wouldn't it be difficult to keep track of the changes of each figure?

Thats what i was thinking, if you play with an unfair person they may make this idea difficult. I guess you just have to be trusting.

I never play with cheaters. I think this is a really great idea and house rule. In Heroscape, there is a similar rule with one of the figures (Krug) where he gets angrier and angrier and he really is one of the most fun, best figures to play with. Has anyone put these rules to practice yet?

Well hopefully you play with people you trust. I never play with cheaters. Sometimes it is unavoidable...

Sounds like a really fun house rule. It reminds me a little bit of how one of the superhero powers is handled in Capes & Cowls.

I like that idea a lot, although I think I like adding the speed better than the extra attack... the extra attack is a pretty big bonus IMO. Maybe having 3 extra tix added to Hulk's speed everytime he recovers? Sort of a compromise between 2 and 4.
Although, I'm not too sure that this would change gameplay too much, at least the way I play... Whenever Hulk is on my opponent's team, I never attack him until I am at point blank range because I always miss anyways (the missiles just bounce off him). So, giving Hulk the extra speed may not help too much since if he recovers he'd just get to knock over the figure that knocked him down right away anyways (since it's at point blank range).
I'll have to try it and see... I'm all for any ideas to make the "tossers" more competetive.

Wow! All of these ideas are cool for Hulk! Now I just have to get him. I'm thinking more along the lines that every time a figure on his team of the same (faction?) gets defeated, he gets to add 1 to his speed. This avoids the difficulty of remembering anything since all you have to do is check your defeated area.
