Mystique variation (now with pic)

Mystique's neck is different on the two I just got. One has a long neck as shown in the blogged preview. The other has a short neck that rests the chin below the level of her collar, limiting how far her head can turn (because it is between the two collar sides).

I can't guess the reason for the change.

I finally had some time to take a pic of the two:



I did bend the head back just a bit to make sure that it wasn't just smashed down into the body. I don't understand why it is different. Both of these were bought at Wal*Mart. They were bought on the same day and were presumably shelved at the same time (I only skipped that Wal*Mart a couple of days before finding that they finally got some Marvel Attacktix on the second visit). So it is quite likely that they actually shipped together.

My Mystique holds her gun strangely, and unlike any picture of her I've seen.

The gun faces inward instead of outward, though its easy to aim this way.

I have two and they both hold their gun this way also.

Yikes! The one with no neck looks very strange. My only Mystique looks normal. If anyone else has this variation, let us know!

I wonder if this is an actually variation or just a 'mistake' in quality?

I betcha it's a mistake. I have 3 of her and all are fine.
