I've played a few games with some of the figures I have. Here are some comments:
Wolverine(starter set)---His attack sucks. Its almost as short and hard to hit with as Crumplezone. It tends to rise after you let it go and can miss entirely. When it does hit, it hits weakly and I wouldn't expect it to be very useful for multiple kills for those who care about such things.
Sabertooth----His attack is probably the easiest strike in the whole game to master. Its not strong enough to knock things into other figures, but its so easy to use that a first time player can kill 100% with it. I don't go for multiple kills, so I like Sabertooth a lot. His sculpt is great. He's tall, but very heavy and has a Transformer-like resistance to missle fire.
Western Ghost Rider---This sculpt is fantastic. He's low enough to be a tricky hit for strikers, and is almost impossible to get a good shot on. You can point the gun at the ground to create a ramp effect for defense. Not the easiest figure to aim with, but not terrible in that regard.
Ghost Rider--I don't go for multiple kills, so I like this figure. I have two, and one is very stiff and an expert could probably get multiple kills with it as easy as anything else. The other has a chain that is very flimsy and even I have to pull it back at the shoulder instead of the weapon tip to get a decent strike. Either way, I can kill my target every time which is enough for me. This figure can also tripod fairly well.

I would have to agree on the first two, but have an additional note on the western ghost rider. I found him quite fragile to a shot at the base/bottom of the rock, which isn't to hard with the goblin. Which is one of my fav. thou with the army I built I rarely get to play it. the ocks are good thou their specials don't trigger often enough. the ghost rider chain is vary good, thou I must admit I'm fairly new so I have a little trouble with his chain sometimes, but I'm getting better. Also the armored spidey with web blast is no that good in my opinion his spring seems to be weak or something.

I could not agree more. He is the worst figure in marvel IMO. I can't say the same for mine he has a very good strike and I have had great success with getting multiples. I must be one of the lucky ones because mine has a stiff chain and is a great striker. just to add a few. Captain America- One thing I have noticed is he is very unbalanced almost as bad as the SW S3 stormtroopers. Very easy to knock over. Also his shield shot is very unpredictable and go's were ever it wants to. It will take some time to get good with it on any long shots. Green goblin- He is by far one of the best non-striking 40 pointers in the game. Mine has a very hard shot and he is well balanced. Blackheart- I must retract a statement I made in another post about him being a wast of 40 points. After play him a few times I found that his strike is not as bad as I thought. You will not get multiples with him but you will get a kill 95% of the time. Also the other thing i have found is who ever has him on there team seems to win with him being the last or one of the last figures. How ever he dose have one big weakness. If you don't get to go first your opponent can take him out fairly easy with a strong force push or medium missile. Hulk- I had said he was better the chirpa and I was wrong. He is a wast of 40 points and you are lucky to take any one out with him. Beast- He is one of my favorite figures so far. He is very good if you can keep your opponent in front of him but if they get behind him he is very easy to knock down. |

Thor---He's a good figure if you figure him out. I figured out a few secrets about him. You want to aim for any appendage that is sticking out like a gun,lightsaber,paw our if the other figure has a sloped chest (like Darth Vader) hit them there or like my brother said (grievous) hit them in the back. P.S I'm much better than him with Thor.
Doc Ock---One of my personal favorites. You want to aim with the top claw if you do that you should be shooting double kills every where. The only problem is that is heavy and can be easily taken down from a large missile at a distance.

I agree. Either they are going to have to improve upon this type of attack or just abandon it all together.

Hulk--- What?!?! My Hulk is absolutely freaking amazing! He's so darned strong that he flings the barrels OVER the heads of figures on the OTHER SIDE of the field! The only problem I'm having is aiming the guy.
Thing--- MUCH better than Thor. I can get kills a good 85% of the time with him. His power's a bit low on percentage but still a very good figure. I think the reason he's easier to use than Thor is because his arm swings to a lower end point, allowing more force to be applied to the target figure.
Pole Kick Spider-Man--- Interesting and I highly recommend adjusting him at the waist to bring his foot higher. I'm still playing around with him.
I'll post more thoughts as I go.

I've tried rotating the base to put a fair distance between Sabertooth's hand and the target figure, and it gets hurled significantly farther. I'm sure this could be mastered. |

We only have 2 at my house so far, Daredevil and Punisher. Punisher is fine, nothing special, but we're very please with Daredevil and find him to be very good at taking down other strikers (especially) or any figure with a big gun (pretty easy to flip them by the weapon). That's our only booster so far and we're vey happy with it.

I'm still waiting for my brother to get in here and post on the figure that he got that is freaking amazing, that way I can post about it as well. Until then...
Green Goblin--- I love the sculpt on this guy. I'm not sure just how bad my figure's stability is but it seems like an attack that would kill him now just knocks him off the base, a fair trade in my opinion. His missile is strong and GREAT for base shots. My one problem is that mine has a semi-malfunctioning ticker wheel where you either have to tick him backwards or "warm him up" by running him across the board before ticking forwards. Other than that, he seems like a strong figure.
Punisher--- The Punisher figures my brother and I got are very, very strong. I've had them shoot down several figure from starting line to starting line with relative ease. He's also has an easy aim and his black missile is freaking sweet. I'm not sure if he's worth the thirty points but he's fun to play with. My main problem is that the skull on his chest looks more like a monkey skull than his actual emblem.

I think SS Wolverine is a disappointment for a couple of reasons. First his attack is lacking. I, would much prefer, him to not be so hard to aim. Second, he is 30 points as compared to the other Wolverine who is 20 points. Third, he has a weak special as compared to the other Wolverine.
All in all, I would have to say that this figure is not worth playing when you could have the option, as we do with the cheaper, just as reliable striking, and effect ability Wolverine found in the boosters.

Wolverine (Starter Set)--- I'm going to go against all three of you here and say that I actually LIKE this Wolverine. All you have to do is hold his claws between your thumb and your index finger and swing! Sometimes his arm acts funky but I can get singly kills at LEAST 95% of the time after messing with him for ten to fifteen minutes. However, I do agree that he's way to expensive to use effectively. If he had either a recover/rescue power OR was only twenty points, he'd be a good figure. That's my thoughts on Wolverine (SS). If my brother doesn't get his butt in here and post about the figure that may be one of the best in Marvel by tomorrow evening, I'm going to go ahead and post my thoughts on him. |

Magneto---One word: AWESOME. The ultimate Super Optimus Prime killer. From 10... 15... 20... 25... even 30(!) tix away, Magneto can take down SOP. Pretty darn impressive if you ask me. Plus a 61% Sacrifice power. Definitely a very good figure, worth 40 points.

Magneto--- To clarify what my brother is saying, Magneto can knock down the "invincible" Super Optimus Prime with a single blast. The twenty and twenty-five tix marks are a bit random on if they'll knock down but five, ten, fifteen, and starting-line-to-starting-line (doesn't knock him down but knocks him off, still a kill) are all relatively easy to get. Also, most missiles will bounce off the front if Magneto's missile is in, much like Chief Chirpa and his rock. Magneto's power is very good and the only thing holding him back from being an all-star figure is the fact that he has no ten point figure to feed off of. If Series 2 fixes that and adds some Brotherhood ten pointer, Magneto will be an absolute monster in Attacktix and possibly one of the best forty point figures of all time.
